Chapter Ninety-One: A Plea for First-Week Subscriptions
Seeing Tianyou's reply, Yin Jian was utterly stunned.
What on earth had been stuffed into the head of that company’s boss?
He understood designers far too well.
Any man would be tempted by it, a pity...
Yin Jian shook his head.
Without hesitation, he blocked them at once.
They had invaded his privacy and still wanted him to work himself to the bone; that line of thought was truly absurd.
After blocking Tianyou, Yin Jian thought for a moment, then took a screenshot of the chat, blurred out the name, and sent it into the group chat.
Basking in the group was bliss; basking in it forever was even better.
You Forced Me: image
Eggy: Damn! What kind of heavenly platform is this? You Forced Me, hurry up and beg the big shot for a private chat.
Divine Phoenix: This... with this, I could have a maid squad in a month.
Happy Exploding Hair: Handsome guy peeking in.
Happy Exploding Hair: Handsome guy shocked!
Master of Swordrise Sect: Divine Phoenix, awesome!
Master of Swordrise Sect: I got the screenshot too, but this company is a bit disgusting. Just take a look, everyone, and don't be tempted. Who knows what shady tricks they might pull later.
"Swordrise got invited too?"
Yin Jian raised an eyebrow and clicked into the screenshot of the chat between Swordrise and Tianyou.
He wanted to see whether the conditions offered to the other party were the same as his.
"Still, mine should be a higher-tier deal."
Yin Jian thought to himself. After all, he was, however one looked at it, a man on the verge of becoming a god.
It was only natural that Tianyou would offer him their highest terms.
However...
Our revenue share for you is eighty-twenty, with you getting eighty and us twenty. As for Ether Dolls, you can choose whichever you like. If you need a personal assistant, we can arrange that too. As long as you come to our platform, any condition can be negotiated.
"..."
After reading the conversation, Yin Jian silently exited the group chat, then removed Tianyou from the blacklist and restored them to the whitelist.
Yin Jian: And who exactly are you looking down on?
You have been added to the blacklist.
Tianyou: ?
Inside Tianyou's company, the customer service representative stared blankly at the message Yin Jian had sent.
...
After cursing out Tianyou, Yin Jian instantly felt refreshed in body and soul. When he returned to the group chat, he found they were still talking about Tianyou.
Swordrise Sect Master: This time it wasn't just that one company that popped up; there are a lot of smaller ones too.
Swordrise Sect Master: You can go check the Forum of Game Ascension. There are many advertising posts pulling people in, and the conditions offered look pretty good.
Swordrise Sect Master: But small sites are very risky. They can go under at any time, and if you release a game there, you may end up losing everything.
Divine Phoenix: I saw a few reports before saying that several major companies making reality games have also entered virtual games. I don't know if that's true.
Swordrise Sect Master: That news is true. The sudden increase in benefits at Game Ascension was because they were afraid of losing a large number of designers and shaking their position as the leader of virtual games.
Eggy: Competition is good; we designers benefit.
You Forced Me: Swordrise, awesome!
You Forced Me: Swordrise is invincible under heaven!
You Forced Me: Swordrise, when are you taking us noobs along?
Swordrise Sect Master: Noob, awesome!
Eggy: Noob, awesome!
Divine Phoenix: Noob, awesome!
Happy Exploding Hair: Noob, awesome!
Happy Exploding Hair: Interrupting the repetition.
Happy Exploding Hair: Brothers, I just received a designer consultation image. I signed up successfully for the online class. Any brothers going with me?
Divine Phoenix: Huh? I didn't receive a consultation. Does that mean I wasn't selected?
Eggy: Damn it, losers don't deserve consultations.
You Forced Me: Damn it, losers don't deserve consultations.
Swordrise Sect Master: Damn it, losers don't deserve consultations.
...
After leaving the chat interface, Yin Jian glanced at his designer backend and found that he truly had not received any consultation, which left him a little depressed.
So he didn't even get a chance to learn.
"Let's ask Stone."
He still rather wanted to hear how the old operations manager analyzed the current game market.
He opened the chat window with Stone.
You Forced Me: You there?
Stone: Yeah. I've already applied for your discounted recommendation; it goes live next week.
You Forced Me: Thanks. By the way, I want to study in the online class, but I didn't manage to sign up. Do you have any way?
Inside the Game Ascension office, Yu Jia saw the message Yin Jian had sent and lightly furrowed her brows.
"Strange."
This designer, Yin Jian, had always given her the impression of being quite arrogant. Yet now he was proactively asking to enroll in the online class, which made it feel as if the sun had risen in the west.
"Still, this change is a good thing."
Yu Jia felt a little delighted; she thought she had led another designer onto the right path.
Stone: I'll speak to them for you. It shouldn't be a big problem.
You Forced Me: Thanks.
The conversation ended. Yu Jia finished up the work she was doing, then walked out of the office area.
The department responsible for selecting people for the online class was another one.
She didn't have contact information there, so she had to make the trip herself.
Still, it was only a matter of a single sentence, and it didn't take her long before she returned to the office.
"The director has a meeting. Put aside what you're doing and head to the conference room right away."
Just as she stepped back into the office, Yu Jia heard Han Hai's voice.
"Team leader, didn't we just have a meeting yesterday? What happened now?"
A short coworker asked Han Hai.
"It's about the contract. The director will explain the details in the meeting. It starts in ten minutes, so don't be late," Han Hai said after explaining.
"Understood."
Hearing the replies, Han Hai nodded.
He was just about to leave when he noticed Yu Jia entering, and his steps suddenly paused.
After hesitating for a moment, he said, "Xiaoyu, there was something I wanted to tell you before, but I kept getting busy and forgot about it."
"What is it?"
Yu Jia asked.
"Come find me after the meeting. We're a little pressed for time now, so I can't explain it all at once."
Han Hai glanced at the time and said.
"Okay."
Yu Jia frowned, somewhat puzzled, unable to think of what Han Hai could possibly need her for, but she still nodded in agreement.
Seeing her response, Han Hai smiled. "Then I'll go first. Remember not to be late for the meeting."
With that, he moved around Yu Jia and hurried out of the office, as though many urgent matters were still waiting for him.
Yu Jia watched Han Hai's departing figure. After a moment of thought, she turned and walked toward Lin Xiaoxiao, intending to go to the conference room with her.
"He is looking for you because of the reality game."
Sitting in her office chair, fingers rapidly sliding across the keyboard, Lin Xiaoxiao said in a flat voice as she saw Yu Jia approach.
Yu Jia was surprised. "Senior Lin, you know what it's about?"
Lin Xiaoxiao finished up her work, then stood from the chair. "Let's go to the conference room first. I'll tell you on the way."
If I say I'll unleash another chapter, then I'll unleash another chapter! I'm still typing the remaining two chapters, and even if I die on this keyboard today, I will finish all three chapters for today!
