Chapter 110: Sightseeing
Page 1/3
Xu Tian was located on the top floor of the skyscraper.
Yin Jian and the others were in no rush.
They let Lu Guo lead them to browse through the Human Section exhibition hall floor by floor.
Upon entering the building, the first thing that caught their eyes was a huge transparent glass dome.
It occupied almost eighty percent of the first floor’s space.
The glass dome was spherical.
Judging by its size, only about one-tenth of it was visible above ground; the remaining nine-tenths lay buried underground.
Yin Jian looked inside the glass dome and saw a miniature world.
The tallest mountain inside was no bigger than his pinky finger.
Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a flash of light from somewhere.
He shifted his gaze toward the source of the light.
There, he saw two rapidly moving points of light.
These two light points were fiercely fighting.
Mountains crumbled and waterfalls reversed their flow wherever they passed.
“This is...”
Seeing this, Yin Jian looked at Lu Guo in confusion.
Lu Guo smiled and explained, “These are cultivators.”
“They were created years ago by a biology expert who loved watching cultivation.”
“Their bodies are tiny, but because they are fused with the genes of creatures like Yunwo and Huoxian, they can use some extraordinary powers.”
“But since they constantly seek to defy the heavens, the zoo had no choice but to create thirty-three levels of heavens for them to rebel in.”
As Lu Guo spoke, he tapped on the glass dome.
A holographic 3D anatomical projection of the huge sphere appeared before them.
This gigantic sphere wasn’t just the surface layer they saw.
Beneath the first floor, there were many more layers.
Yin Jian counted and found, just as Lu Guo said, there were thirty-three layers in total.
“Each layer has different parameters. For example, the material density on the outermost layer is one and a half times that of the layer below.”
“Every layer’s environment is distinct.”
As Lu Guo spoke, his finger moved across the 3D projection, and the detailed conditions of each layer appeared before them.
Some worlds were dominated by sects, others by nations, and some were still in the tribal age.
Yin Jian zoomed in on one world’s image; a daily scene of a cultivation family appeared before his eyes.
“You can spend money to feed them,” Lu Guo said, noticing Yin Jian’s interest, while opening the feeding options for him.
There were random feedings and targeted feedings.
Random feeding meant the system would drop items randomly somewhere in the world.
Targeted feeding allowed you to feed a specific cultivator.
Yin Jian chose targeted feeding, and a list appeared before him.
[Fortune Jade Disc] 998¥
[Devourer’s Demon Jar] 998¥
[Chaos Pearl] 998¥
...
“Isn’t this just a cheat code?” Yin Jian joked after scanning the list, then casually selected an item to feed a young man in the family who wasn’t well-liked.
The moment he scanned to pay, a meteor streaked down from the sky.
Speeding at an extreme velocity, it crashed directly onto the young man’s forehead.

None of the family members noticed what had happened.
The young man, struck by the meteor, first showed a stunned expression, then burst into joy, but quickly suppressed his smile and hurried off to his room.
From this moment on, his fate changed.
Seeing this, a gleam sparked in Yin Jian’s eyes.
He began to grasp the new game’s mechanics.
After finishing viewing the cultivation world on the first floor, Lu Guo led them upstairs.
“I saw their fights earlier. Will there be casualties during these battles?” Zhou Shun suddenly asked midway.
Lu Guo shook his head, “No. The monitoring system will teleport them to the next heaven level just before they receive fatal damage.”
“The bodies left behind are only clones.”
“To maintain balance on each floor, the system extracts most of their internal energy, keeping their power at the level of an ordinary person in the lower heavens.”
“I see,” Zhou Shun nodded, seeming relieved.
Lu Guo saw what Zhou Shun was thinking and explained, “For the human section, except for a few special categories, the zoo’s methods are very gentle and won’t harm them.”
“All right, we’ve arrived at the second floor.”
Hearing this, Yin Jian looked ahead and saw this floor was very different from the first.
Many moving murals adorned the walls.
“What are these murals about?” Yin Jian frowned.
Suddenly, it felt strange to shift from a zoo into an art gallery.
“These are beings extremely harmful to society,” Lu Guo explained, pointing at one painting.
It depicted a grotesque red humanoid: “This is the Skinflayer. They peel human skins and wear them as their own. Their special organs once allowed them to infiltrate the city’s core, nearly causing an irreversible disaster.”
...
Lu Guo introduced the more distinctive human species on the second floor one by one, then led them to the third floor.
The structure here was different again.
It was a restaurant.
Beast-eared girls dressed in maid outfits scurried about, attending to every guest.
“Whoa! Beast-girls!” someone exclaimed from behind.
Yin Jian and Zhou Shun looked at Lu Guo simultaneously.
Lu Guo cleared his throat and introduced, “These beast-people were created by a reclusive biologist a thousand years ago.”
“They have their own home planet.”
“They’re humanoid species officially recognized by the state.”
“They work here to earn some extra money.”
“Of course, you can adopt them.”
“But the procedures are quite complicated.”
“Plus, there are yearly inspections of their physical and mental health.”
After finishing, Lu Guo looked at them, “If you want to adopt, I can take you to the Beast-People Home for the paperwork.”
Hearing this, Yin Jian waved his hand, “No need, just eating here is fine.”
Zhou Shun nodded in agreement.
Lu Guo said nothing more and led them into the restaurant.
“Welcome! What would you like, nya?” A black cat beast-girl came running over as soon as they entered, holding a menu with a playful smile.

“I’ll have...” Zhou Shun took the menu. He wanted to order something casually, but when he saw the dish names, the words caught in his throat.
After a long pause, noticing Yin Jian’s puzzled look, he scratched the brim of his baseball cap and said, “I’ll have fried rice.”
“Fried rice, nya? We don’t have that dish, nya~” The black cat maid thought carefully, then replied confidently.
“Uh... but it’s written here,” Zhou Shun pointed at a dish on the menu.
“Please say its full name,” the cat-maid said expectantly.
“...Please give me a serving of Super Invincibly Cute Beast-Girl Moe Moe Fried Rice,” Zhou Shun forced out.
“Okay, what would you like, nya?” The cat-maid looked at Yin Jian.
“Ahem, I’ll pass,” Yin Jian quickly waved his hand.
“Really don’t want any, nya?” The cat-maid looked at Yin Jian pitifully. “If you order, you can pet my fluffy paws, nya.”
??w??
“...In that case, please also give me a serving of Super Invincibly Cute Beast-Girl Moe Moe Fried Rice.”
“All right, nya. Please wait a moment, dear customers, nya.” The cat-maid nodded, then turned and shouted, “Auntie Octopus, two servings of fried rice to table eight, nya!”
Yin Jian: ...
Zhou Shun: ...
“Beast-girls love pranks. They say they’ll bring the fried rice over,” Lu Guo said mischievously as they stood frozen.
“Damn it! Lu Guo, your pinned game recommendation comment is gone!”
“Whoa! Master Yin, I was wrong, Dog Giant!”
After some banter, they finished the fried rice and experienced the joy of petting beast-girls, then continued sightseeing upwards.
The various strange human-like species opened their eyes wide in wonder.
Soon, they reached the top floor.
This was the floor Yin Jian had been hoping to find a fellow countryman.
Like the first floor, a glass dome enclosed a central area from the outside world.
Inside, the furnishings were ordinary.
A handsome young man sat on the sofa with a look of utter despair.
“His immune system is still like it was ten thousand years ago, making him very fragile for this era. So he must always stay in a sterile environment,” Lu Guo explained as he approached the glass dome and greeted the young man on the sofa, “Xu Tian, good morning.”
“Morning,” Xu Tian lazily waved his hand, then let it fall again, looking like someone with advanced laziness syndrome.
“Mom, he spoke!”
“He’s alive! I thought he was just a statue.”
The surrounding tourists were ecstatic to hear this prehistoric human speak.
Zhou Shun also cast a curious glance inside.
In contrast, Yin Jian, who had been most eager, showed no particular emotion.
To be honest, after seeing the real person, he didn’t know why he had been looking forward to it.
“There’s nothing to hold onto,” he muttered under his breath, then called Zhou Shun and Lu Guo to leave the human section exhibition and explore other areas.
