Chapter 83: Employee Benefits

Fantasy Park.
First floor of the office building.
At this moment, the lobby had been transformed into a meeting venue. Rows of seats were arranged in the center; those closer to the front looked fairly normal, but the last two rows at the back seemed especially enormous.
Most of the seats were empty, while the remaining ones were occupied by staff members from the park.
In the front row sat Guo Jing, Huang Rong, Master Huang, and others. Xiao Longnu and Granny Sun were seated at the very center of the first row. The second row was filled with several Transformers in their humanoid forms. The third row was occupied by four gigantic beasts: King Kong, the Rampaging Dragon, Python One, and the Ugly Vulture.
As for Sadako...
She had refused all invitations from humans, Transformers, and beasts alike, and sat alone in a corner, radiating an aura that warned mortals to keep their distance.
The haunted house environment suited her perfectly; the endless stream of visitors lining up to meet their doom gave her a twisted sense of satisfaction. If not for Qiao Mian’s mandatory directive requiring all employees to attend the meeting, she would never have left her haunt. After all, scaring a few people to death was so entertaining.
Everyone was whispering amongst themselves.
It wasn’t until the sound of footsteps echoed from the entrance that the crowd fell silent.
A figure floated half a meter above the ground, drifting to the front and turning to face everyone.
“You’ve all arrived quite punctually,” Qiao Mian said with a smile.
“We just got here ourselves.”
“Mr. Qiao, your timing is perfect.”
“We were just thinking you’d show up any minute.”
Everyone chimed in enthusiastically.
“Let’s get straight to the point, then,” Qiao Mian cleared his throat. “The main reason I’ve called everyone together is to address some issues you’ve encountered recently...”
With that, he looked around. “If you have any questions, feel free to bring them up.”
Optimus Prime was the first to raise his hand.
“Old Optimus, go ahead,” Qiao Mian nodded.
“I feel that we’re understaffed, and the wait times for guests are getting a bit long...” Optimus Prime began earnestly, making his case at length before concluding, “Would it be possible to bring in some extra help?”
Qiao Mian nodded slightly but didn’t reply immediately. “Does anyone else have similar concerns?”
Master Huang glanced around, and seeing that no one else spoke up, he mimicked Optimus Prime and raised his hand.
“The Sutra Pavilion is having the same issue...”

After he finished, he hesitated for a moment, then added, “I heard you promised that Miss Long could go study at a university on Earth in the future?”
Qiao Mian glanced at Xiao Longnu, then nodded. “If Master Huang wants to go as well, of course you can.”
“Thank you, Mr. Qiao.” A flicker of excitement appeared on Master Huang’s normally impassive face.
Unlike the carefree Old Mischief, the knowledge on Earth had shocked him profoundly, making him feel as though his earlier years had been lived in vain. Now, he was ravenously absorbing Earthly knowledge, having already self-studied up to the junior high level, and was eager to find a better platform.
“Everyone, don’t hold back. If you have any questions, just ask,” Qiao Mian encouraged, sweeping his gaze around.
Xiao Longnu raised her hand.
Qiao Mian nodded, indicating she should speak.
“Can we also use Earth’s currency to buy things in the park?” she asked softly, meeting Qiao Mian’s gaze directly. Her voice was gentle, a bit cool, but her expression was tender.
Qiao Mian noticed how much Xiao Longnu had changed. She was no longer as shy as she used to be around him.
“You always could,” Qiao Mian replied with a smile.
“Can I bring things from our side and sell them here?” she pressed.
Qiao Mian was momentarily taken aback.
“Number Zero,” he called inwardly, “does this violate any rules?”
“No,” came the reply from Number Zero.
Suddenly, Qiao Mian grasped the situation.
This was true employee welfare. Why had these folks never brought it up before?
They could freely travel between Fantasy Park and their own worlds, bringing things with them each time—nothing prevented them from being interdimensional merchants.
“Yes, you can,” Qiao Mian replied smoothly.
Xiao Longnu silently clenched her fist in delight.
With the guests growing ever more powerful—just look at Liang Xiaoyu, who now had a century’s worth of inner strength—she actually felt quite pressured. Now, with Qiao Mian’s approval, she resolved to go back and gather all the valuable treasures from the ancient tomb to sell to Earth’s inhabitants...
Qiao Mian looked at Master Huang and the others, finding the same look of pleasant surprise on their faces.
Even the Transformers were itching to give it a try.
“Can we sell martial arts manuals?” Guo Jing couldn’t help but ask.
Huang Rong pinched him hard from the side.
“Only the ones not already in the Sutra Pavilion,” she clarified for her husband.
Qiao Mian nodded.

Everyone grew even more excited.
Qiao Mian cleared his throat, feigning surprise. “None of you ever thought of this before?”
“We did,” Guo Jing answered honestly, “but everyone felt just being allowed here was a blessing from the heavens. We didn’t dare hope for more.”
Qiao Mian understood.
Even when he had first obtained this game, he had been extremely cautious, afraid of ruining everything with a single misstep. Of course, they would have been even more careful at the start. Only now, seeing Earthlings grow so quickly and becoming more familiar with the place, did they dare ask.
These people must have been holding back for ages.
Afterward, a few more people offered questions or suggestions for Fantasy Park.
Qiao Mian answered each one in turn.
“If there are no further comments, let me address a few matters,” Qiao Mian began.
He cleared his throat. “First, regarding job responsibilities: going forward, we’ll set up departments based on roles and areas, with a department head for each one...”
“Each head will oversee their department’s operations. Every month, there will be a bonus for each department, which the head will distribute among the team... Department heads can choose whom to recruit. The specific divisions and staffing arrangements will be announced shortly by Number Zero...”
Having said all this in one breath, Qiao Mian looked around.
Some people were delighted, others thoughtful, while a few appeared lost. A handful of beasts looked half-asleep.
“If you have any questions, now’s the time,” he said.
“What does staffing mean?” Master Huang asked.
“The number of people each department should recruit and the positions needed,” Qiao Mian explained.
“Are there any requirements for being a department head?” Bumblebee inquired, sneaking a glance at Optimus Prime as he finished.
“The first batch will be appointed by me for a one-year term. After that, each department will vote for its own head,” Qiao Mian said.
Bumblebee seemed to want to say something more, but suddenly noticed Optimus Prime looking at him and quickly raised his hand. “I vote for Optimus Prime!”
Qiao Mian, half-smiling, replied, “You’re not in the same department.”
After answering a few more questions, Qiao Mian waved his hand, and a giant light screen appeared before everyone.
On the screen was an organizational chart.
Everyone looked on with curiosity.
Currently, Fantasy Park was divided into ten departments: Administration Center, Ticket Office, Transportation Center, Security Patrol, Dinosaur Park, Python House, Fitness Plaza, Colosseum, Sutra Pavilion, and Haunted House.
