Chapter 156 Godzilla
"Dragon Girl, did you hear that?" Liang Xiaoyu raised her head.
Dragon Girl replied calmly, "Bumblebee is here too."
"It really is him!" Liang Xiaoyu said in surprise.
She had thought she was hallucinating.
Within two minutes, the roaring of an engine grew louder, and immediately after, she saw Bumblebee charging forward recklessly.
Right behind him, a giant lizard was in hot pursuit.
"Help!" Bumblebee screamed, running straight to the feet of the Great Gorilla and transforming into his humanoid shape.
The giant lizard crashed headfirst into the sole of the Great Gorilla's foot.
It wobbled, managed to stand back up straight, and was instantly grabbed by a massive claw and lifted into the air.
"Hey, don't kill it, I was just playing with it!" Bumblebee cried out hastily the moment he saw the Great Gorilla's reaction.
With a sharp crunch, the lizard's head was shoved straight into the Great Gorilla's mouth.
It chewed twice, spat it out with a "puff," and looked down condescendingly at Bumblebee with a trace of odd confusion in its eyes.
This little guy can change its shape?
Then a slight feeling of pity welled up inside it.
So small, how pitiful!
It nodded toward the Little Gorilla standing nearby and continued on its way.
As the Little Gorilla passed by Bumblebee's side, it reached out a paw, patted Bumblebee's body, pointed at the severed half of the lizard on the ground, and let out a grunt.
"What did it say?" Liang Xiaoyu asked.
With a peculiar expression, Dragon Girl said, "It says that's left for Bumblebee. You have to eat more to grow up."
Liang Xiaoyu pointed at Bumblebee and laughed, "Ah-Huang, you're just not up to par."
"Even a bandit like you has learned to borrow someone else's prestige!" Bumblebee retorted.
"That's right, do you want to learn too?" Liang Xiaoyu asked with a grin.
Bumblebee placed his hand under his neck, opened his mouth wide to mimic a hanged ghost, and simultaneously played a mournful funeral dirge.
Liang Xiaoyu turned red with anger.
Dragon Girl gave a light cough. "Stop messing around, you two, the Gorillas are leaving!"
Liang Xiaoyu stamped her foot and hurriedly followed.
Bumblebee trotted along behind them.
"Pick up that half of the lizard," Liang Xiaoyu called out, turning her head. "Take it back for the chef to prepare and send to Mr. Qiao."
Bumblebee stopped dead in his tracks, turned around, and scooped up the half-lizard.
"Why aren't you carrying it?" he complained. "This thing is heavy!"
"Aren't robots supposed to do the manual labor?" Liang Xiaoyu said.
"That's racial discrimination! I'm going to report you to Political Commissar Zhao!" Bumblebee argued with full conviction.
"Well, you're the strong one, fine." Liang Xiaoyu was left speechless.
Carrying the half-lizard in one hand, Bumblebee started dancing and singing at the top of his lungs: "What kind of woman are you, what kind of woman are you, watching me walk away and remaining indifferent..."
Liang Xiaoyu stopped abruptly.
Resisting the urge to plant a kick right on him, she turned to Dragon Girl to complain. "Dragon Girl, he's insulting women!"
Bumblebee immediately changed the lyrics: "I'll kick you away with all my might, kick you straight into the river, who told me to say it, the one I'm insulting is you..."
"Stop teasing her!" Dragon Girl turned around.
"Understood, sir!" Bumblebee gave a single-handed salute, casting a contemptuous glance toward Liang Xiaoyu.
When it came to bickering, he had never lost!
Liang Xiaoyu felt her teeth itch with hatred, but she knew she couldn't keep arguing.
Bumblebee could pull all sorts of sharp, backhanded insults straight from the internet at any moment.
Continuing the argument would only bring her more humiliation.
Stomping furiously on the grass and underbrush, she marched forward.
Before long, they arrived at the Great Gorilla's destination.
At first, Liang Xiaoyu had thought the Great Gorilla wanted to visit its sanctuary to give them all a glimpse of something spectacular, but she soon realized that wasn't the case at all.
It stopped right in front of a precipitous cliff.
Behind the cliff were fiery red clouds and a vast forest emitting a soft, ethereal glow, creating an exceptionally breathtaking view.
Lurking at the edge of the cliff was a colossal behemoth.
Godzilla!
It was lying on its back, sleeping right at the cliff's edge.
The Great Gorilla stepped forward and let out a loud roar to wake it up.
Godzilla seemed to be in a bad mood from being disturbed.
Upon opening its eyes, it let out an angry, ferocious bellow.
The Little Gorilla's body trembled with fright.
Liang Xiaoyu was also half a step back, startled by the fierce hostility in that roar.
Standing nearby, Dragon Girl showed no particular reaction.
She bent down, picked a small, fiery red flower, and placed it atop her head. "Xiaoyu, does this flower look good?"
Liang Xiaoyu was stunned for a moment. "It looks good."
"I'll give it to you!" Dragon Girl smiled, removed the flower, and handed it to Liang Xiaoyu.
"Is this specifically for me?" Liang Xiaoyu's heart pounded, feeling quite flattered.
"It's not like I could give it to the Gorilla, right?" Dragon Girl said, sounding puzzled. "It would be such a waste to throw it away!"
She bent down again to pick another light pink flower and held it up against her head to compare. "I think that other color was too gaudy."
Liang Xiaoyu opened her mouth, not knowing what to say.
Was she treated like a trash can?
Her gratitude had been completely wasted!
Dragon Girl took out her phone, walked over to her side, and snapped a selfie of the two of them.
The background featured the fiery red clouds and glowing forest of the horizon, while in the foreground, Dragon Girl's smile bloomed like a flower, and Liang Xiaoyu pouted with a resentful expression.
"I'm posting this on Moments!" Dragon Girl looked at the photo and thought it was endlessly amusing.
Liang Xiaoyu hurried over and shook her head. "No, you made me look too ugly."
"Not at all, you look very cute," Dragon Girl said earnestly.
Liang Xiaoyu initially wanted to insist, but after taking a closer look, she felt there was no point.
Dragon Girl's natural beauty was already equivalent to 1.1 times her own, and as for her figure...
Liang Xiaoyu glanced down at her own flat chest, then peeked at the other girl's modest curves, and tilted her head back, speechless in despair.
A hamster encountering a little bunny.
It was all a matter of timing and fate!
She turned her head to look at the live-stream chat, only to find the screen flooded with bullet comments like "Fight!" and "Hurry up and fight."
Looking up, she saw that Godzilla had already stood up and was locked in a fierce staring contest with the Great Gorilla.
A jolt of panic hit Liang Xiaoyu's heart.
The Great Gorilla didn't have its axe right now; what was it going to use to fight Godzilla?
If the other party unleashed an atomic breath, she might very well end up as collateral damage.
Just as she was worrying that the two would actually start brawling, she saw the Great Gorilla let out a series of grunts while pointing at the Little Gorilla beside it.
Godzilla let out a wild roar to the heavens, cast a malevolent glare at the Little Gorilla, and then slumped down with a dejected thud.
"We don't have to fight?" Liang Xiaoyu asked in pleasant surprise.
"Dragon Girl, what did they just say?" she asked.
Bumblebee chuckled. "The Gorilla said it has a little bro, while Godzilla is all alone in the world."
With that, he stepped forward and let out a series of rumbling roars directly at Godzilla.
Liang Xiaoyu looked utterly bewildered. "He can even speak Godzilla's language?"
Dragon Girl glanced sideways at her and said, "They are communicating through Null."
"I knew it! What's with all the spooky, mysterious acts!" Liang Xiaoyu huffed.
"Still, Bumblebee really managed to mimic Godzilla's voice," Dragon Girl added. "When it comes to linguistic talent, I suppose no species can rival the Transformers."
Envious, Liang Xiaoyu muttered, "This guy!"
A moment later, Godzilla reached out a claw to poke Bumblebee, then smugly roared back at the Great Gorilla.
The Great Gorilla pounded its chest fiercely, pointed at the Little Gorilla, and continued to grunt back.
"What are they talking about?" Liang Xiaoyu spun around in circles, consumed by impatience.
Dragon Girl did not reply immediately.
She found these two giant beasts quite amusing.
Just like children, they loved to compare everything against each other.
