Chapter 107: Taking the Lead
Upon entering the park, Li Sakagawa looked around excitedly. The constant roars of beasts filled his ears, stirring his heart with exhilaration.
Fantasy Park—truly living up to its name!
Clenching his fist in silent anticipation, Li Sakagawa followed the volunteer’s directions toward the transportation center.
Su Ming had already set up his live streaming equipment and started broadcasting. His stream quickly attracted a flood of viewers, and before long, his popularity soared beyond ten million. The chat room was ablaze with gift effects, and Su Ming’s smile threatened to split his face.
He pulled out a vest emblazoned with the logo of the [Ad Space] group from his bag and put it on immediately.
“Welcome, brothers, to Xiao Ming’s streaming room! I’m already here at Fantasy Park,” he announced cheerfully. “Look over there—that forest is the Dinosaur Park. You wouldn’t believe how huge those trees are until you come inside and feel it yourself!”
“About this outfit—I got sponsored for the entire ticket fee. That’s not too much, right? No shady deals here, I’m a pure guy.”
“The cool dude wearing sunglasses beside me? He’s a new friend I just met—Li Sakagawa.”
“Ha! Just like you guys, I think of him as a ‘gaijin’ too,” Su Ming said, tilting his head toward Li Sakagawa. “Hey, Sakagawa, want to say hi to everyone?”
Suppressing his awkwardness, Li Sakagawa waved at the camera. “Hello, everyone, I’m Li Sakagawa.”
[“Xiao Ming, show us the dinosaurs!”]
[“Go feed the python!”]
[“Xiao Ming, Xiao Ming, male mama loves you!”]
[“What’s going on? I just logged in today, and Xiao Ming’s stream is on fire!”]
[“** streamer, what a trash outfit, shameless for money!”]
...
Su Ming’s smile did not waver as he read these comments. He was long accustomed to trolls, especially as a gaming streamer. When he won a one-on-five match, everyone shouted “Streamer 666!” But when he lost, they called him a “noob streamer,” “feeding kills,” or mocked that “anything can be streamed nowadays.”
“I’m planning to check out the shooting range first with Sakagawa. Luckily, ‘Rain Thief’ hasn’t arrived yet—I want to steal her spotlight, haha,” Su Ming said excitedly to the camera.
At that moment, he arrived at the transportation center and saw several cars, each with a unique design.
But then...
“Who exactly are you calling ‘Rain Thief’?” a faint voice suddenly whispered beside his ear.
Su Ming’s expression froze as the door of a nearby car opened, revealing a tall figure sitting inside, wearing a cold smile. It was Liang Xiaoyu.
Judging by her looks and figure alone, she was indeed a goddess next door. Yet at the sight of her, Su Ming instinctively recalled the infamous viral photo of the hanging ghost.
“Goddess Xiaoyu!” Su Ming forced a laugh. “What are you doing here?”
“Why wouldn’t I be here?” Liang Xiaoyu sneered. “First, tell me—who were you just calling ‘Rain Thief’?”
“Just joking,” Su Ming hurried to explain. “Goddess Xiaoyu, why haven’t you streamed these past few days? I’ve been waiting to watch.”
Liang Xiaoyu snorted twice.
This bastard really had thick skin—caught insulting her but unflinching.
“Look, my little stream here is full of people asking about you,” Su Ming said, showing her his phone screen.
Liang Xiaoyu leaned in closer.
Su Ming’s face stiffened.
[“Haha, caught insulting her!”]
[“Rain Thief, when’s your stream?”]
[“If you don’t want her, I’ll take her!”]
[“Streamer’s phone wallpaper is the hanging ghost photo of you.”]
[“Yeah, I’ve seen it.”]
Liang Xiaoyu glanced, then turned to Su Ming.
“What’s your phone wallpaper?” she asked.
“It’s the default smart wallpaper—it changes daily. Don’t listen to those nonsense comments,” Su Ming replied, sweat forming on his brow.
Though he joked about Rain Thief behind her back, he was inwardly cautious. Like everyone else, he knew Liang Xiaoyu’s influence. Even some national leaders publicly praised her in the media. If he truly angered her, would he still want to continue in this world?
Liang Xiaoyu curled her lips. “You all just love to slander me everywhere. I’m obviously so beautiful and talented.”
She faced the camera and said, “I just took a few days off to go on a stroll with Long’er. I even collected a bunch of gorgeous photos.”
Seeing a flood of [flirtatious] emojis on the screen, Liang Xiaoyu chuckled. “Not showing you guys!”
Then she waved at Su Ming. “Have fun, bye.”
“Goodbye, Goddess Xiaoyu!” Su Ming grinned, exhaling in relief.
Li Sakagawa had been quietly watching nearby. Seeing Su Ming talk to Liang Xiaoyu, he felt a tinge of envy. He too wanted to say a few words to one of the park’s ‘ambassadors,’ but he hadn’t figured out how to break the ice. Besides, he sensed she was not fond of him.
“Maybe I’m overthinking it. Someone like her being a bit arrogant is only natural,” Li Sakagawa thought.
Liang Xiaoyu, sitting alone in the car, glanced over. The Transformers had already informed her of the two men’s identities—a game streamer and a little ‘gaijin’ planning to visit the shooting range together.
She found it somewhat absurd.
Although she had never publicly revealed it, she knew exactly what kind of place the shooting range was.
Gaijins killing gaijins?
Quite intriguing indeed.
She logged into her streaming account and searched for Su Ming’s stream. Entering, she immediately sent a gift worth 100,000 yuan.
Seeing the gift effects in the stream, Su Ming was nearly overwhelmed with excitement.
“Goddess Xiaoyu sent me a gift!”
“I told you, a goddess this beautiful and elegant wouldn’t get mad over a little joke.”
“Goddesses are all so magnanimous!”
The chat room’s mood lightened and became lively.
[“Look at that bastard’s face!”]
[“Behind the scenes, Rain Thief; in front, Goddess Xiaoyu. What a shameless double life!”]
[“The goddess has a small heart. Let’s see how long before she gets pummeled at the shooting range!”]
[“To be fair, Xiaoyu is pretty decent despite all the teasing.”]
[“Lick, keep licking.”]
[“Just now, people were roasting Rain Thief, now they’re bribed by a single gift.”]
[“I want to be bribed too. Rain Thief, send me money!”]
[“The goddess’s poop even smells like vanilla.”]
...
“Sakagawa, let’s go,” Su Ming said to Li Sakagawa.
Li Sakagawa nodded and followed him onto another vehicle.
Glancing at his watch, it was already 9:15 a.m. The thought of soon entering the shooting range to showcase his skills made his blood boil with excitement.
“How’s your shooting?” Su Ming asked.
“Not bad,” Li Sakagawa replied.
He could hit within eight rings from a hundred meters each time. When hunting in Africa, he bagged the most prey among his companions.
“I only tried the shooting range last night,” Su Ming lamented. “I only learned how to shoot. I had a chance during college military training, but I slacked off and took leave.”
Li Sakagawa smiled. “I can teach you.”
“Thanks, Sakagawa!” Su Ming said happily.
Li Sakagawa shook his head.
As long as it didn’t affect his own rewards, he never hesitated to offer a little help.
The scent of stolen fragrance filled the air.
