"Such a sharp tongue!" Both women blushed furiously, pinching Night Endless hard at his waist. Though they hadn't used much force, Night Endless feigned a pained expression, making the two women burst into laughter.

"Come, husband, let me introduce you," Ye Ruyue said, pulling Night Endless forward and pointing to a spirited elder. "This is the Grand Elder of the clan."

"Greetings, Grand Elder," Night Endless nodded in greeting.

"Ha ha, good, good! A pleasure, son-in-law!" The Grand Elder laughed heartily.

He then pointed to another elder. "This is the Second Elder..."

Ye Ruyue introduced Night Endless to all four elders of the Ye clan, her father's two brothers, and the youngest aunt...

Night Endless greeted each of them, committing their names and faces to memory—a proper introduction.

Only Ye Skylark seemed unconcerned with him. She didn't spare Night Endless a glance, turned, and walked away.

Watching Ye Skylark's cold departure, Night Endless wondered silently: Did I offend her somewhere? It seems this future younger aunt is not easy to get along with.

"Ha ha, son-in-law, pay it no mind. Skylark has always been like this since she was young," the Grand Elder chuckled.

Night Endless nodded without replying, when suddenly his stomach let out a loud rumble.

As everyone's gaze fell on him, Night Endless scratched his head, smiling sheepishly. "It seems I'm a bit hungry." As he spoke, his stomach let out two more grumbling sounds.

The Ye family estate was vast. Entering from the main gate, one immediately found themselves in a massive martial training ground, stretching a hundred meters in both length and width. The ground was paved with green stone slabs, and at the far end stood a high platform from which the entire arena could be surveyed.

The training ground was divided into five areas: one large, four small, each a square arena. The main ring stood a meter high and ten meters wide, while the smaller ones measured four or five meters across.

Everywhere were training apparatuses—wooden stakes, archery targets, hanging sandbags. Rows of wooden racks displayed all manner of weapons: swords, spears, staffs, clubs, halberds, forks, hooks, axes, scythes, whips, rods, hammers—every type imaginable.

Beyond the training ground lay the Ye family's guest hall.

At the rear of the estate was the residential area. The outer sections housed the collateral branches of the Ye clan, while the central area was reserved for the main family.

Night Endless followed the two women from the collapsed ice cellar at the foot of the back mountain. Ye Yunhu had already ordered its reconstruction.

The four elders had long since departed; they did not manage the family's affairs except to defend the clan in times of crisis. Otherwise, they rarely appeared.

Ye Yunhu and Ye Yunwu had gone to manage household matters. After the recent battle, the Ye clan was greatly weakened.

As Night Endless walked with the two women, many greeted them along the way, but their faces were heavy with sorrow. Some wept openly, others shed silent tears, as if a shadow hung over the Ye family.

Only after entering the central area did the mood improve. Everyone clenched their jaws, eyes bloodshot, each person resembling a wounded lion, ready to strike at any enemy.

After asking the two women, Night Endless learned that a full week had passed since his berserk transformation.

They returned to the women's small courtyard.

Ye Yunhu had already arranged for food to arrive soon.

Pushing open the gate, the courtyard was filled with exotic white flowers, delicate as orchids, exuding a refreshing fragrance. There was a pond, artificial hill, stone slabs, and beneath a large tree stood a stone table.

The two women helped Night Endless to a seat beneath the stone table.

Soon, the sound of knocking came from the door, accompanied by a woman's voice, "Miss, the food has arrived."

"Come in," Ye Ruyue called.

The gate swung open. Four maids entered, each carrying a wooden tray loaded with exquisite dishes. In moments, the stone table was covered with food.

"You may leave," Ye Ruyue said, smiling at Night Endless, whose eyes glittered hungrily.

The maids withdrew, leaving two to stand outside.

Looking at the array of dishes—braised spiders with eight legs, two-headed fish-like creatures, and many foods he had never seen before—Night Endless couldn't help but drool.

"Husband, go ahead and eat, there are no outsiders here," Ruyue said, pulling Ruixue to sit. She filled a bowl of rice and handed it to Night Endless, smiling gently, then served Ruixue and finally herself.

"Thank you, sister," Ye Ruixue said happily, taking the bowl. They too had gone days without eating, sustained only by their cultivation, but until forming a core, fasting was impossible.

"Alright, I'm starting," Night Endless said, and began to eat ravenously, as if facing an enemy. The two women were startled by his ferocity.

In less than ten minutes, the table was nearly bare, swept clean in a whirlwind. Another table was brought, and Night Endless devoured it just as quickly. Seeing his pitiful look, Ye Ruyue couldn't bear it and ordered yet another table.

This appetite—was he a bottomless pit?

That day, Night Endless earned his first nickname: Bottomless Pit.

As Night Endless continued his relentless eating, Ye Ruixue stared at her sister with concern. "Sister, are we really not going to tell our husband?"

Watching Night Endless’s back, Ruyue shook her head with a bitter smile. "Those powerful beings are beyond us. If we tell him, it may bring him harm. If only Sister Qing were here! But now we don’t know where she’s gone. Even the Immortal Moon Tower has searched, but she’s nowhere to be found..."

She patted Ruixue's head to comfort her. "Don’t think too much," she said, taking Ruixue’s hand and following after Night Endless.

Ling City Tea House

"Hey, have you heard? The head of the Mu family, Mu Qing, was killed by a mysterious expert from the Ye clan!"

"I’ve heard! They say this mysterious expert also took out two other Spirit Gathering masters!"

"Those are Spirit Gathering masters—the top combat strength of every family! And they died just like that!"

"What a pity we don’t have the cultivation to witness such a scene ourselves!"

"Does anyone know who this mysterious expert is?"

"No idea!"

"With the Lu and Mu families losing three top fighters, my chance has come. Next time, I’m joining the Ye clan. I’ll avenge my wife, and maybe this counterattack will finally rid us of those Lu and Mu scoundrels..."

"By the way, anyone noticed the Ye clan’s eldest and second miss haven’t been seen lately?"

"Shh, keep your voice down. I heard a mysterious woman came and took them away last time. It’s forbidden to discuss it in the city!"
