Chapter 122: Marrying My Master

Lately, I’ve been starving, and yet this guy secretly eats on his own! This fellow is no good at all! Ye Wuya coldly glanced at him and asked, “What’s the situation with the Scorching Sun Sect?”
“It’s the same as always.”
“What do you mean?”
“Why so many questions? Are you a spy sent by the enemy?” The deputy sect leader’s face shifted as he spoke.
“Do I look like a spy to you?”
“Yes, very much so!” the deputy sect leader said without hesitation.
“Whatever you say,” Ye Wuya replied nonchalantly.
He didn’t believe this deputy sect leader could do anything to him. At worst, he’d just fight his way out—he was brimming with confidence!
Since he was already committed to the act, he no longer cared. The Golden Core realm wasn’t as terrifying as he had imagined!
The deputy sect leader was speechless.
“Enough. Get out. I need to cultivate!” Ye Wuya issued a dismissal when the deputy sect leader remained silent.
The deputy sect leader stood there, saying nothing.
“Still not leaving?” Ye Wuya said coldly.
“I’m leaving now,” the deputy sect leader said slowly.
“The exit is over there,” Ye Wuya pointed towards the ruined doorway.
“I mean I’m leaving for good!” the deputy sect leader repeated.
“Oh, the exit is that way. No one’s stopping you!”
The deputy sect leader was speechless. Was he truly unable to understand, or just pretending?
“I know you’re mysterious and bear no hostility towards the Azure Cloud Sect, but I really must leave!” the deputy sect leader said.
Ye Wuya ignored him completely. Leave if you want—go wherever you please. It’s none of my business. We’re strangers; even if you die out there tomorrow, I’ll still eat and drink as I please!
“This time I don’t know if I’ll ever come back, but the Azure Cloud Sect has already been entrusted to Susu. I have no worries left. It’s time to see the world!”
“I don’t know what you want from the Azure Cloud Sect, but as long as you bear no ill will, that’s enough!”
“In the future, friend, if you’re here and the Azure Cloud Sect needs anything, I hope you’ll lend a hand!”
The deputy sect leader rattled on and on, making Ye Wuya increasingly annoyed.

“Enough, enough. During my stay at your Azure Cloud Sect, I’ll keep it safe. Stop bothering me!” Ye Wuya waved his hand impatiently.
“But…”
Ye Wuya glared, and a mysterious power swept towards the deputy sect leader.
Instantly, the deputy sect leader felt an overwhelming force envelop him, as if he had been completely seen through—laid bare before Ye Wuya’s eyes with no secrets left!
This power left trails, and when he glanced back, a chill ran down his spine!
Cold sweat soaked his back as he hurried out of Ye Wuya’s sight and headed towards the door.
So terrifying—what kind of power was that? How could it be so dreadful?
The deputy sect leader was still shaken, thinking about how thoroughly he had been seen through, without the slightest reserve.
Ye Wuya had only lightly used his future-seeing power to glance at him, not intending to pry into his secrets. If he had, the deputy sect leader’s spiritual energy might have been drained completely!
“You may leave now with peace of mind,” Ye Wuya said softly, closing his eyes.
“Very well, then I leave it to you to take care of Susu. I hope we meet again!”
With that, the deputy sect leader left an ink-green ring on Ye Wuya’s desk and strode away.
That day, the old sect leader and deputy sect leader of the Azure Cloud Sect, after a few brief words to a stranger in the scripture library, departed with heavy hearts.
No one knew where they had gone.
But none of this concerned Ye Wuya anymore.
The deputy sect leader’s departure was but a minor incident.
Dawn approached—
a new day, a fresh beginning.
Ye Wuya conducted an internal examination.
His flesh and blood inside had mostly healed, though the ruptured meridians remained tattered.
In the broken dantian, a peculiar energy quietly floated, as if it had established its base there.
With the deputy sect leader gone, the restriction preventing him from leaving for half a year was lifted.
Ye Wuya slowly walked outside. He hadn’t been out for over two months and wanted to take a stroll.
“Master, I’m here!”

Just as Ye Wuya was about to leave, he heard Jiang Xiaoxiao’s voice from outside and sat back down.
Jiang Xiaoxiao entered, placing a tray down and carefully taking out the familiar dishes.
“When does today’s martial contest start?” Ye Wuya asked unusually.
He had never asked about Jiang Xiaoxiao’s affairs before and felt a bit irresponsible as a surrogate master.
Jiang Xiaoxiao fulfilled her duties as a disciple diligently, delivering meals daily...
“At noon. Why the sudden interest, Master?” Jiang Xiaoxiao asked curiously. In her world, her master never bothered with such things; today’s question was unusual.
“Nothing. Just been cooped up too long and want to go out and see the world,” Ye Wuya replied as he ate.
“Then go! If anyone dares stop you, I’ll smash them to bits!” Jiang Xiaoxiao said fiercely, her expression making Ye Wuya laugh.
Since Jiang Xiaoxiao last removed her veil here, she would always take it off when entering and sit opposite Ye Wuya, watching him eat.
At first, Ye Wuya was unaccustomed to a beautiful girl staring unblinkingly, but he gradually got used to it.
These days, Ye Wuya’s rapid recovery owed much to Jiang Xiaoxiao’s care.
He could tell the food wasn’t ordinary; some ingredients were precious, and the nourishment they provided far exceeded that of a hundred Fasting Pills.
He sipped the soup, feeling the nutrients quickly absorbed.
He glanced at Jiang Xiaoxiao and said, “Pretty girls shouldn’t be so violent, or you might never find a husband.”
“Who says I want to marry? Besides, I have you, Master!” Jiang Xiaoxiao blinked her big eyes and pouted.
“But you can’t stay by my side forever,” Ye Wuya sighed.
“Who says I won’t? I want to stay by Master’s side. That’s where I feel like myself. I have Master’s care and am no longer a lonely, forgotten spirit,” Jiang Xiaoxiao said unhappily. “Are you going to send me away?”
“Ha!” Ye Wuya gently stroked her head and smiled warmly. “You’re still young and don’t understand. When you grow up, you’ll see.”
Ye Wuya understood Jiang Xiaoxiao’s feelings; she had confided her story to him before.
After Crescent Moon’s demise took her back to the sanctuary, no one cared for her. People kept their distance due to her status. Over the years, she had no close friends.
She had no one but herself to talk to, no one but herself to play with.
Since following Ye Wuya, her life had become more vibrant. Though still a bit dull, it was far better than being alone.
“Master, I’m not a child anymore. How about I marry you?”
