Chapter 66: The Shameless Families of the Sacred Realm

"What else can we do but go back? Wait to snatch it? We can’t even get past a single protective array—how are we supposed to rob them?" Qing Yide had completely lost hope. He stood up abruptly and pulled Qing Zhi along with him.
Qing Mo could only follow Qing Yide out the door, but as they passed by You Xiyue’s room, she lingered, unwilling and curious, peeking for a long while.
The Candle Dragon Clan, of course, heard the sound of the Azure Dragon Clan descending the stairs.
"That old fellow just gave up like that?" Fan Zhujiao found it hard to believe.
Fan Lihua frowned, pondering her father’s words, then suddenly slapped the table, exclaiming, "What? You want to rob our little goddess?"
"What goddess? Is the Golden Crow Seed more important, or is she? You haven’t even met her and she’s already your goddess? You wild brat." Fan Zhujiao pressed his left hand to his chest, pointing at Fan Lihua with his right, scolding her for her lack of sense. "Behave yourself, don’t mess up my plans."
Fan Lihua fell silent, not out of fear of her father, but because she was busy plotting in her own head.
"The girl from the Candle Dragon Clan next door is rather interesting." Jun Yang and You Xiyue, naturally, heard every sound from the Candle Dragon Clan.
You Xiyue pursed her lips, softly acknowledged, and stood up.
"I’m tired."
Jun Yang also got to his feet, handing the Golden Crow Seed to You Xiyue in passing.
You Xiyue waved her hand dismissively. "Give it to your clan’s old spirit instead."
Jun Yang held the box containing the Golden Crow Seed, momentarily unsure whether to be pleased or to complain—after all, his clan’s old spirit was only a few tens of thousands of years older than he was...
Still, he didn’t fuss about it and simply stored it away in his spatial ring.
His little ancestor would never care about such things, so there was no need to be polite.
If this Golden Crow Seed could truly enhance the clan spirit’s bloodline, he could be of even more help to You Xiyue. After all, in this life, his fate was firmly tied to this little ancestor before him.
Green Sandalwood glanced enviously at Jun Yang, then quietly followed behind the two.
For now, his master hadn’t sent any instructions, so he could only shamelessly tag along a bit longer.
As You Xiyue pushed open the door and exited, the attendant hurried forward with a welcoming smile. "Are you heading upstairs to rest? The proprietor has already reserved the finest rooms for you."
"Lead the way," Jun Yang urged, sensing You Xiyue’s growing irritation at the many curious glances from all directions. He cast a glamour, plunging the onlookers into various illusions.
The downstairs hall descended into chaos, and no one cared about the three of them any longer.
The attendant quickened his step and led them up to the fifth floor.

"The three rooms at the far end are yours. No one will disturb you—I’ll be stationed in the corridor at all times. If you need anything, just call," the attendant explained as they walked, pointing to the doors at the deepest part of the hall. "Each room is equipped with teleportation arrays direct to the outskirts of town and the busiest street, so you can come and go as you please. There are also soundproofing arrays to guarantee your privacy."
"Quite thoughtful," Jun Yang praised offhandedly.
The attendant, not detecting any insincerity, replied with pride, "Our Immortal Treasure Pavilion’s security rivals even that of the Glazed Pavilion in the Sacred Realm."
"Oh? You’ve been to the Glazed Pavilion?" Jun Yang asked casually.
The attendant smiled sheepishly. "Not personally, but that’s what the proprietor says."
Jun Yang curled his lips, unconcerned.
The attendant left them at the doors and quietly withdrew.
Green Sandalwood felt conflicted. These soundproofing and teleportation arrays were a real headache for him. If You Xiyue and Jun Yang left, he’d have no way of knowing.
Standing at the doorway, watching You Xiyue and Jun Yang enter their rooms, he could only resign himself to entering his own. He couldn’t follow them inside—that would be far too brazen and he’d likely be thrown out.
Once inside, he tried to contact Xun Yu.
This time, Jun Yang didn’t follow You Xiyue into her room, but entered the one prepared for him.
He wanted to study the Golden Crow Seed.
The Golden Crow Seed was simply too radiant—if he examined it in You Xiyue’s quarters, he’d probably be kicked out of the Immortal Realm before he managed to use the teleportation array.
You Xiyue returned to her room, closed the door, tossed the Ghost Dream Mushroom onto the bed out of habit, and fell asleep instantly.
The Candle Dragon Clan also exited their rooms to check in at the inn.
Fan Lihua knew well her father’s plan: to follow and seize the opportunity to rob them.
But she had her own ideas. Instead of joining her father, she left the Immortal Treasure Pavilion altogether.
With the fifth floor occupied by You Xiyue and her group, and Liu Shuzhi’s strict orders not to disturb them, the Candle Dragon Clan was settled on the fourth floor.
Naturally, they didn’t cause trouble—they couldn’t risk exposing themselves before making a move.
Unfortunately, after Fan Zhujiao settled in on the fourth floor, he discovered it was impossible to probe into You Xiyue and Jun Yang’s rooms. The only one whose activities could be overheard was Green Sandalwood.
At this point, Green Sandalwood, having confirmed his master’s objective was met, was relishing the rare luxury of such fine accommodations—especially since they were free. He ordered a lavish banquet.
Fan Zhujiao and the Candle Dragon Clan downstairs spent the entire afternoon listening to Green Sandalwood eat and drink.

"This guy is nothing but a glutton!" Fan Zhujiao could stand it no longer. He kicked over the stool in front of him, shoved open the door, and went downstairs to the main hall for some air.
Fan Lihua hadn’t returned since the auction ended; who knew what she was up to.
Yet with his daughter out of sight, Fan Zhujiao actually felt relieved—if things turned violent, she’d only make matters worse.
At that moment, Fan Lihua was stealthily making her way home. She remembered there were still five Heavenly Pepper Flowers left; to approach the little goddess, she naturally needed a suitable gift.
On her way back, at the entrance to the Sacred Realm, she stumbled upon the Azure Dragon Clan being besieged.
Just as Jun Yang had predicted, those powerful Sacred Realm clans who hadn’t descended to the Immortal Realm were now lying in wait.
Qing Yide’s face was grim as he watched the clansmen of several Sacred Realm families surround his people.
"I’ve already said—the Azure Dragon Clan did not win the Golden Crow Seed!"
Qing Zhi shrank behind Qing Mo in fear.
"If the Azure Dragon Clan didn’t get it, are we to believe you let the Candle Dragon Clan take it instead?"
Of course, the clan members didn’t believe him.
Qing Mo summoned the Canghai Sword, flicking it deftly behind her. "If you want to declare war on the Azure Dragon Clan, I welcome the challenge!"
When had the Azure Dragon Clan ever suffered such humiliation? They were already resentful over the failed auction, and now, to be bullied at their own gates—how could Qing Mo endure it?
"Mo’er, don’t be reckless," Qing Yide cautioned, shaking his head. Of the five families present, three outranked the Azure Dragon Clan in the Sacred Realm. Declaring war would not end well for them.
Moreover, the Azure Dragon Ancestor was still in seclusion.
No wonder these families dared to act so brazenly—they must have heard the news.
Although relations between the Azure Dragon and Candle Dragon Clans were far from cordial, Fan Lihua’s fiery temperament couldn’t abide such blatant bullying.
She summoned her Ghostfang Mace and hurled it at the crowd.
"You shameless old fogeys are even worse than the ancestors of the Serpent Clan!"
