Time passed swiftly, and before I realized it, dawn had quietly broken. Perhaps it was because I had been soaked by the rain last night, for I felt dizzy and feverish. Seeing my poor condition, Jin Yulian said, "Just lie down a little longer. I'll go out and get breakfast for you."

With that, she dressed and went to the bathroom to wash up, then applied some simple makeup. She came to my bedside and said, "I'm going out. Just stay here and relax. As long as you don't open the door, no one will know you're here."

She turned and left. I heard the door close and her footsteps fading away, and my heart was filled with mixed emotions.

I thought to myself that Jin Yulian was willing to accept me, but did I have the ability to marry her? Now that her company was in trouble, how could I help her through these hardships?

I replied, "Sister Yulian, that's very kind of you." Jin Yulian opened the safe by the bed, took out two property deeds and ten thousand yuan in cash. She tossed the cash to me and said, "Take this money. Buy whatever you need."

Her tone was half in jest, half earnest.

Just then, I heard Jin Baoqiang's voice from upstairs: "Sis, what are you dawdling for? I'm waiting!"

Jin Yulian picked up the two property deeds, closed the door, and left.

I got up, washed up quickly, and had breakfast. Still feeling dizzy and feverish, I crawled back into bed.

After more than an hour, I heard laughter and conversation from downstairs. Curious, I peered out the window. It turned out Jin Baoqiang had brought home a young, beautiful, flamboyantly dressed woman.

I guessed this must be Jin Baoqiang's girlfriend, Fang Nana. I thought, since they're here, it's safer for me to stay in bed.

I jumped under the covers and waited a long time, but didn't hear them come upstairs. Thinking they had left, I quietly opened the door and looked down into the living room. There, Jin Baoqiang and the flamboyant woman were cuddling on the sofa.

Just then, Jin Baoqiang's phone rang. He answered, and it seemed something urgent had come up. He pushed the woman away and said, "Wait here for a bit. I've got something to take care of. I'll be back soon."

Jin Baoqiang hurried out. The flamboyant woman, now bored, played on her phone for a while, then made a call.

Soon after, I heard a car horn outside the villa. Through the window, I saw the woman grab her handbag and leave in a hurry.

I thought Jin Baoqiang had returned, so I peeked out the window. Instead, I saw a brown Maserati from which emerged a tall, handsome man.

Witnessing this, I thought to myself, if this flamboyant woman is Jin Baoqiang's girlfriend, then he's surely being cuckolded.
