At seven o’clock in the morning, in the kitchen of the Blue Moon Grand Hotel.

Watching the boiling water in the pot, Xiaotian Le tossed the noodles in and stirred them with a pair of long chopsticks. Seeing this, the cleaners, kitchen helpers, and chefs excitedly asked, “Teacher Xiaotian, your performance last night was amazing! What will you play for the battle show this time? Can I have a ticket?”

Controlling the heat and stirring the noodles to ensure even cooking, Xiaotian Le smiled, “No rush, there will be seats for everyone. I'll let you know when the time comes. Please hand me the condiments.”

With eager faces, several chefs brought him green peppers, red peppers, soy sauce, cilantro, scallions, and all kinds of seasonings.

As he added the condiments while watching the pot, Xiaotian took out a large bowl of spring water. This was high-end drinking water, costing thousands of Wu Yuan per bottle, and the bowl contained five bottles’ worth.

He lifted the cooked noodles into the bowl to soak, making them refreshing, non-sticky, and pleasantly chewy. After this step, he adjusted the broth, added a fried egg, and sprinkled scallions and cilantro.

Instantly, a steaming bowl of noodles, rich in aroma, was ready.

Carrying the tray, Xiaotian Le walked out of the kitchen. “I’ll be off now, sorry for the disturbance.”

Dozens of kitchen staff blushed shyly. “Teacher Xiaotian, you’re too polite. It’s an honor for our kitchen to have you here.”

Once Xiaotian left, the kitchen erupted.

“Wow, these are Teacher Xiaotian’s chopsticks! I’ll sell them online—surely for a million!”

“This pot could go for three million!”

“What are you thinking? That’s hotel property. Seal off the site immediately. I’ll talk to the general manager. We can let guests visit and take photos—the income and prestige will soar.”

“The head chef is always so clever, ha ha.”

In the most luxurious honeymoon suite of the Blue Moon Grand Hotel, the sky outside was still dim, and only half the pearl chandelier was lit inside.

Approaching the bed, Xiaotian placed the tray on the bedside table and gently called, “Fang, wake up and eat your noodles.”

Despite last night’s treatments—sweating, bathing, cold compresses, and everything except medication—Fang Chen’s cold had not yet subsided. Her head still felt fuzzy, though the fever was gone.

Drowsily, she opened her sleepy eyes. Seeing Xiaotian, she turned her head away in grievance.

Awkwardly smiling, Xiaotian helped her sit up against the headboard, arranging a pillow behind her.

Once she was settled, he held a cup of warm milk to her lips. “Here, fresh milk.”

Fang Chen turned her head away angrily.

Understanding her embarrassment from last night, Xiaotian chuckled. “Fang, you must take care of yourself. You still need to lift the crystal violin’s seal. Only then will the crisis in Beihai truly be resolved.”

Fang finally spoke. “Don’t flatter me.”

With a smile, Xiaotian said nothing more, but slipped his right arm behind her back.

Though she struggled, it was futile—and she only did so symbolically.

Pulling her into his embrace, Xiaotian brought the warm milk to her lips with his left hand. “Be good, Fang. Come on, open your mouth.”

After a few fruitless twists, she finally parted her lips in a standoff.

Raising the milk cup, Fang sipped two small mouthfuls, then licked her lips with her tongue, feeling warmth spread through her stomach.

Releasing her, Xiaotian picked up the noodles from the bedside, lifted a strand, and brought it to her mouth.

After gazing into his eyes for three seconds, Fang wrapped the noodle around her chopsticks and slurped it in.

Offering another strand, Xiaotian asked, “Isn’t it delicious? This bowl of noodles has perfect color, aroma, and taste—chewy yet tender, a bite to die for.”

Chewing and swallowing the first strand, Fang pouted, “It’s not tasty at all. You’re just too narcissistic.”

After slowly feeding her over a dozen noodles, sweat beaded on Fang’s forehead and neck—the bowl was loaded with chilies, far spicier than most could handle.

When she opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue, Xiaotian gave her more milk to drink.

After gulping for a while, Xiaotian finally took up a strand and put it in his own mouth, savoring it with delight.

Seeing him eat, Fang broke into tears. “How could you do this?”

Biting half an egg, Xiaotian replied, “I made a big bowl, enough for two. Besides, didn’t you say it wasn’t tasty? One must be thrifty—eat well, but never waste.”

Fang tried to snatch the bowl. “If I can’t finish, I won’t let you eat any!”

Turning with the bowl, Xiaotian said, “I cooked these noodles for you. How can you be like this?”

Fang retorted, “I am like this! So what? What can you do about it!”

Turning to face her, Xiaotian picked up another noodle, smiling, “I like it. Come on, open your mouth—ah~”

Blushing, Fang scolded, “Can’t you stop being so theatrical? Let me eat properly!”

With a raised eyebrow, Xiaotian grinned, “Eat, then—just open a bit wider.”

Fang fell silent.

Having teased the beauty enough, Xiaotian began to feed her seriously.

Half an hour later, daylight flooded the room.

Setting down the bowl, Xiaotian lit a cigarette, then took out his phone and made a call.

When the line connected, he spoke, “Lieutenant Zhang, bring sixteen female soldiers to Blue Moon Grand Hotel, Room 102, to look after Dr. Chen.”

On the other end, Lieutenant Zhang replied, “Understood, sir.”

After hanging up, Xiaotian rose from the bedside. “Just rest and recover. Don’t work. The Celestial Tower hasn’t been attacked yet.”

Fang protested, “Are you crazy? It’s just a cold—why bring them here?”

Xiaotian replied matter-of-factly, “You are the key to saving Beihai. Besides, what if Mu Yang tries something while I’m gone?”

“He’s not like that—Major Bi is decent.”

“You never really know someone. Take me, for example—I look like a villain, but I’m really kind-hearted. Even with the ceasefire, who can guarantee that Hao Zhang and Dengbo Ying won’t send someone after you?”

Though summoning seventeen female officers for a cold seemed excessive, his reasoning was sound.

Most importantly, it showed he cared.

Thinking this, Fang finally asked the question she’d wanted to. “Xiaotian, why did you reject me last night?”

Sorting through documents, Xiaotian turned and asked, “What did you say?”

Seeing him play dumb, Fang did not press further.

Half an hour later, the officers arrived.

When seventeen female officers entered, they were stunned by the scene.

The commander and Dr. Chen sharing the honeymoon suite?!

Before leaving, Xiaotian instructed them, “I’ve already set up music, novels, and movies on that computer—feel free to enjoy. There’s a hot spring in the bathroom and a pool in the garden; use them as you like, or sunbathe outside. Oh, and please clear the dishes later.”
