The next morning, the nine disciples, thoroughly brainwashed, once again stepped onto the training grounds. Gone was the resistance and defiance of the day before; in their place was a newfound confidence in the future and a yearning for the light ahead.

“My dear disciples, today I will teach you how to acquire a brand new power to change the world. So, the coming month will be tough—extremely tough! Are you ready to step into hell itself?”

“To serve the people!” all nine answered in unison.

“Very good.”

Hao Yun nodded in satisfaction, pulled over a chair, and began to call roll.

“Hinata Hyuga, Neji Hyuga!”

“Present, Master!” they replied together.

“I am offering you two evolution paths:

First, you can train in taijutsu. Just like Sakura, I’ll teach you Armament Haki and advanced techniques to take Hyuga’s Gentle Fist even further. This includes disciplines such as Tai Chi, Inch Force, and Eight Extremities. Mastering them would bring you at least to the Kage level in strength.

Second, you can upgrade your constitutions. You both are direct descendants of the Otsutsuki clan, and the Byakugan is another manifestation of the Sage’s eyes. I can give you a genetic serum to transform your constitution into that of a Sage, and your eyes will further evolve—from Byakugan to Tenseigan. As for how powerful Tenseigan is, I’ve never seen it in action, so I can’t say for sure.

Which will you choose?”

“I choose the Tenseigan!” Neji answered without hesitation, picking the second option. If his Byakugan evolved, perhaps the caged bird seal would no longer restrain him.

Hinata nervously fiddled with her fingers, glanced at Neji, then at Naruto—who was off to the side, head down over advanced books on spatial geometry and physics, hoping to master the Flying Thunder God technique.

“I want the Tenseigan too. I want to stand by Naruto and Brother Neji’s side!” Her voice was soft, but her resolve was unshakable.

Hao Yun nodded with approval. These two had truly been raised well by the Hyuga clan.

He tossed them each a gene serum injector. “Inject this into your veins. Over the next five days, your bodies will undergo rapid growth. Be mindful to control your surging chakra and strength. If you break anything, you’ll be paying for it out of your own pockets!”

The siblings left, elated, clutching their gene serums. Hao Yun then turned to Tenten and Rock Lee.

“Lee, go learn from Sakura. She’ll teach you Armament Haki and how to nurture your body. Once you’ve mastered it, you’ll be able to open all eight gates without suffering irreversible harm. For other taijutsu, go to your teacher Guy—you’ll have more than enough to study.”

Rock Lee had always been the straightforward, all-out type; anything outside of taijutsu… well.

“Tenten, here is the secret manual for the Flying Daggers. Study it on your own.”

Hao Yun glanced at the new batch from the world of Sentimental Swordsman, Ruthless Sword. The manuals were cheap—just 100 points each, not guaranteed to be mastered, but plenty for Tenten. After all, while the Flying Daggers world was weak in raw power, its techniques and philosophies could rival those of most xianxia realms.

“Next—Shino Aburame. Here’s a manual for insect cultivation. Instead of just raising bugs, focus on nurturing a powerful Gu King to break through enemy lines. Shikamaru, here’s some advanced theory on shadow manipulation—take a look.”

Shikamaru accepted the manual with mild disdain—until he saw techniques like shadow phasing, shadow clones, shadow substitution, using shadows to mimic the Flying Thunder God, and sprawling, overwhelming shadows reminiscent of the Dark-Dark Fruit’s powers. He was stunned. He had never imagined shadows could be used in so many ways. It made the Nara clan’s Shadow Imitation Technique look crude in comparison.

Similarly, Ino Yamanaka was dumbfounded by a manual on dream construction, illusion crafting, and a stack of advanced psychology texts. Choji Akimichi was handed a primer on the refined manipulation of energy.

For the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, as long as they thoroughly mastered these materials, reaching Kage level would be a breeze—and with more chakra and finer skills, perhaps even surpassing Kage, reaching the Six Paths itself, was no longer out of reach.

After settling the others, Hao Yun finally turned his attention to Kiba Inuzuka.

Hao Yun’s points were running low; after purchasing all kinds of martial arts manuals, he barely had enough left for one creature egg. So, he decided to take care of Kiba, the resident pet specialist, first.

“Kiba, your real strength lies in your pets. So, what I’m giving you is not of the ninja world—it’s a creature even more wondrous.”

He extended his hand; the nano-robot Jing Potian formed a screen, displaying an array of magical creatures from the world of Pocket Monsters.

There were Squirtle, Growlithe, Charmander, Pikachu, and so many more. Kiba was dazzled—who knew another world could have such miraculous pets?

He was especially taken with Growlithe—it could breathe fire, move with blinding speed, and its signature attack, Flamethrower, was devastating. Compared to that, his Akamaru… Wait, had he just thrown his own dog under the bus for a creature from another world?

Akamaru, perched atop Kiba’s head, clearly sensed his owner’s shifting affections and began barking and pawing at him in protest.

“Alright, alright, Akamaru, calm down!”

Kiba quickly scooped up Akamaru and soothed him, running his fingers through the dog’s fur. He wasn’t someone who would cast aside the old for the new—besides, Akamaru wasn’t just a pet, but family.

“Come on, take a look. What kind of partner would you like?”

“Woof woof!”

Hao Yun and Kiba watched the screen. Much to their surprise, Akamaru didn’t choose Growlithe as Hao Yun had expected, but rather the yellow mouse, Pikachu.

“Woof woof!” Akamaru barked in triumph. He wasn’t foolish enough to pick Growlithe—what if, by some chance, it ended up partnering with Kiba for their clan’s secret techniques? The yellow mouse, on the other hand, could wield lightning-style attacks to assist in battle, but couldn’t join in the clan’s signature moves. Most importantly, a mouse could never outmatch a dog! Hadn’t it always been said that dogs chase mice and meddle in their affairs? Clearly, in the food chain, dogs had the upper hand.

Akamaru was already picturing the blissful scenes of chasing Pikachu around once it hatched.

Kiba looked at Pikachu on the screen, a headache brewing. Despite the videos showing how incredibly powerful this yellow mouse was, raising a rodent—even one with such striking looks—felt a little embarrassing to bring out in public.

“Akamaru, are you sure? This will be your sidekick! You really want the yellow mouse? Isn’t Growlithe cool? Isn’t it awesome?”

“Woof woof!” insisted Akamaru. A mouse it must be! A lightning-wielding mouse was the perfect fit for their tactics.

Well then, for the sake of a rodent sidekick, Akamaru had advanced his logic to the level of battlefield strategy.

Kiba gritted his teeth. After all, Akamaru had grown up with him. In the future, with any new pet, teamwork would still be essential. Fine—mouse it is.

“Master, I choose this one—the yellow mouse!”

Hao Yun looked at Kiba and Akamaru with a strange expression, then redeemed a Pikachu egg from the system, handing it and a corresponding ninja-world breeding manual to Kiba. He could only hope the egg would not hatch into the “God of Pikachu” itself.

Otherwise… well, that would be interesting.
