Chapter Sixty-Three: The Annihilation of the Azure Dragon Society
“What’s there to be afraid of?”
The bald, burly man slammed the table, roaring, “So what if it’s Old Yan? He’s nothing more than a decrepit old man who knows how to carve. As for those martial arts people, this is Jianghai, my turf! Even if he’s connected to some big shots in the martial world, I’ll make sure he pays dearly!”
“You’re absolutely right, boss!”
“Damn him!” The cronies around him echoed enthusiastically.
“Hahaha, what a bunch of fools!”
Just then, a voice dripping with ridicule echoed through the factory.
Everyone turned to look, only to see a young man dressed in black casual clothes approaching at a leisurely pace.
“Who are you? How dare you trespass on our Azure Dragon Society? Are you tired of living?”
The bald man bellowed furiously.
Qin Feng ignored him, walking straight up and curling his lips into a mocking smile. “So, you’re the president of the Azure Dragon Society, Zhao Long?”
“You brat, you’re courting death!”
Enraged, Zhao Long grabbed a beer bottle from the table and swung it at Qin Feng’s head.
A dull crack resounded. The bottle hadn’t even touched Qin Feng before he shattered it with a swift kick.
Shards of glass flew everywhere, and a bloody gash opened along Zhao Long’s arm.
“Ah!” Zhao Long screamed, clutching his arm as he staggered backward.
“With just you? You think you can take me on?” Qin Feng sneered, cold and dismissive. “How utterly out of your depth.”
“Get him! All of you, kill him!” Zhao Long, clutching his arm, shouted to his underlings.
Seeing this, the cronies grabbed their weapons and charged at Qin Feng.
“A bunch of ants,” Qin Feng muttered with disdain. In a blink, his figure vanished.
Bang! Bang!
A series of muffled thuds echoed in the factory. The cronies barely had time to react before they were all beaten to the ground, groaning in pain.
In the blink of an eye, only Zhao Long remained standing. He stared at the scene before him, his face pale, legs trembling uncontrollably.
Qin Feng strode toward him, each step making Zhao Long’s heart sink deeper.
“Who are you? We have no quarrel, do we?” Zhao Long swallowed hard and spoke, his voice quivering.
Qin Feng let out a cold laugh, a glint of frost flashing in his eyes. Grabbing Zhao Long by the collar, he hoisted him up.
“Weren’t you just threatening to kill me?”
Zhao Long felt as though an invisible hand was choking him. He barely managed to squeeze out a few words: “What… what do you want… we… we have no grudge…”
“No grudge?” Qin Feng raised an eyebrow, his tone laced with sarcasm. “Who sent you to deal with me? Do I need to remind you?”
Zhao Long’s expression changed, his eyes darting about, clearly unwilling to tell the truth.
“Not talking?” Qin Feng tightened his grip, making Zhao Long struggle to breathe, his face flushing red.
“Cough… I’ll talk… I’ll talk…” Zhao Long gasped, “It… it was the Wen family… They paid us… paid us…”
“Paid you to do what?” Qin Feng’s tone was icy, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
“They… they told us to… to…” Zhao Long’s voice grew smaller, almost inaudible.
“Speak!” Qin Feng’s roar made Zhao Long shudder.
“They… they told us to break your limbs… and then…” Zhao Long’s voice trembled, his words faltering.
“And then what?!” Qin Feng’s eyes grew even colder.
“And then… and then throw you in the river… to feed the fish…”
After uttering these words, Zhao Long felt as though he’d returned from the brink of death, his body drenched in cold sweat.
Qin Feng released him, and Zhao Long collapsed to the floor, gasping for air.
“The Wen family…” A chilling gleam flashed in Qin Feng’s eyes, his lips curving into a cold smile. “Very good. You certainly have some nerve.”
He squatted down, looking Zhao Long in the eye, his tone sinister. “Go back and tell the Wen family that their good days are over. I’ll make them pay for what they’ve done!”
With that, Qin Feng no longer spared Zhao Long a glance and strode out of the abandoned factory.
…
Night fell, city lights flickered on.
In a resplendent villa in the capital, Wen Dongsheng, head of the Wen family, lounged on the sofa, savoring red wine, a look of smug satisfaction on his face.
“Dad, don’t worry. I’ve already ordered the Azure Dragon Society to deal with that brat. He won’t know what hit him!”
Wen Hao stood nearby, fawning and obsequious.
“Good, well done!”
Wen Dongsheng nodded in approval. “That brat dared to challenge our Wen family. He’s digging his own grave!”
Wen Hao suddenly asked,
“Bah, just a greenhorn. What does he know about antique appraisal? He’s only trying to attract attention!”
Wen Hao quickly echoed his father’s disparagement.
At that moment, a servant rushed in, pale and trembling.
“Master, it’s bad—something… something’s happened!”
“Why are you so flustered? Have some decorum!”
Wen Dongsheng frowned, displeased by the interruption.
“Master, the… the Azure Dragon Society…”
The servant stammered, unable to string together a complete sentence.
“What about the Azure Dragon Society? Speak!”
A foreboding sense crept into Wen Dongsheng’s heart.
“The… the Azure Dragon Society… has been… wiped out…” The servant took a deep breath and finally managed to finish the sentence.
“What?!” Wen Dongsheng and Wen Hao’s faces changed dramatically as they shot to their feet.
“What did you say? The Azure Dragon Society has been wiped out? That’s impossible!” Wen Hao was incredulous.
The Azure Dragon Society was the biggest underground force in Jianghai City—how could it be destroyed so easily?
“It’s absolutely true, Master!”
The servant looked as though he were at a funeral. “I… I only just heard. They say… they say…”
“They say what? Spit it out!” Wen Hao grabbed the servant by the collar, shouting.
“They say… they say… it was… it was…”
The servant’s face was ashen, his words stumbling.
“What was it? Hurry up and tell us!” Wen Hao was nearly jumping with anxiety.
“It was… it was a young man… a single person… who wiped out the entire Azure Dragon Society…”
The servant finally finished the sentence, then his eyes rolled back and he fainted dead away from fright.
“A single person… wiped out the entire Azure Dragon Society…”
Wen Dongsheng and Wen Hao stood frozen, thunderstruck.
A terrifying thought flashed through their minds.
Could it be that brat? No… impossible… how could he have such power?
“Dad, what should we do?” Wen Hao asked anxiously.
Wen Dongsheng gritted his teeth. “That damn brat! He dares to seek revenge against the Wen family! I won’t let him get away with it!”
