Qin Feng narrowed his eyes slightly, calmly scrutinizing the scar-faced man before him.

Mu Teng, a member of the Black Dragon Society, was well-known by reputation. Seeing him today, Qin Feng realized the reputation was well deserved—the ruthless aura he exuded was palpable even from two meters away.

Wearing a harmless smile, Qin Feng greeted evenly, “Mr. Mu Teng, a pleasure to meet you.”

Wang Teng laughed heartily, slinging an alluring woman’s arm around his shoulder as he sat down, beckoning Qin Feng with a wave. “Come, brother Qin, sit next to me!”

Qin Feng accepted the invitation without hesitation, sitting beside Wang Teng and taking a drink from a cup handed over by another woman in the room.

“Brother Qin, what a drinker you are! I like your straightforwardness!” Wang Teng chuckled, patting Qin Feng on the shoulder. “Let me introduce you—this is Mr. Mu Teng of the Black Dragon Society, and this is…”

Wang Teng proceeded to introduce the others in the private room. Qin Feng listened attentively while discreetly observing their expressions.

They were a motley crew—some were Wang Teng’s cronies, others enforcers from the Black Dragon Society—none to be underestimated.

After several rounds of drinks and dishes, Wang Teng finally spoke up, unable to contain himself any longer. “Brother Qin, the real reason I invited you here today is to discuss a business deal.”

“Oh? Wang, you jest. As long as we don’t get into a fight, what business could we possibly have?” Qin Feng feigned surprise.

Wang Teng laughed loudly, pointing at Mu Teng. “Mr. Mu Teng has a keen interest in antiques. I heard you’re an expert in this field, so we wanted your help to take a look.”

“I see.” Qin Feng nodded, fixing his gaze on Mu Teng. “May I ask what exactly you want me to examine?”

Mu Teng flicked the ash from his cigarette, speaking stiffly in Chinese. “I’ve heard you have a map in your possession. True or not?”

Qin Feng thought silently: so they really came for the map.

Feigning calm, he smiled and countered, “A map? What map? Mr. Mu Teng, don’t be misled by rumors. I’m just a poor guy—how could I possibly have a map?”

“Brother Qin, don’t play coy. We already know the truth,” Wang Teng said with a forced smile. “That map concerns a treasure. If you’re sensible, hand it over. Otherwise…”

“Otherwise what?” Qin Feng challenged, meeting their gaze unflinchingly.

“Wang Teng, I told you before—we’re not on the same path. Don’t provoke me, or don’t blame me for being ruthless!” Qin Feng declared boldly.

“Oh? You even dare threaten me?” Wang Teng’s face darkened. He slammed the table hard, instantly heightening the tension in the room.

“I’m not threatening you. I’m just stating facts,” Qin Feng said coldly, standing up and sweeping his eyes over everyone present.

“I may not be a big shot, but I’m no pushover. If you want the map, show some sincerity—otherwise, don’t blame me for turning hostile!”

His words landed like thunder. The room fell silent in shock; no one expected this seemingly harmless young man to have such courage.

Mu Teng narrowed his eyes, staring at Qin Feng with a playful smirk. “Interesting, very interesting. Looks like we underestimated you.”

He slowly rose and approached Qin Feng, patting his shoulder with a rough hand. His voice lowered. “Young man, I admire your courage, but I advise you not to drink the penalty wine after refusing the toast. Some things are beyond your reach…”

A powerful pressure emanated from Mu Teng, making it hard for Qin Feng to breathe.

Suppressing his fear, Qin Feng met Mu Teng’s gaze without flinching.

Suddenly, the door to the private room was kicked open. A cold voice rang out from the entrance: “Who dares lay a hand on my brother?!”

Wood chips flew as the door was flung open, freezing the tense atmosphere instantly.

Everyone turned to see a tall young man standing at the threshold.

Dressed in a well-tailored black suit, his sharp features radiated an innate fierceness—it was Yang Tianchen.

Behind him stood several bodyguards in black, all with grim expressions, clearly not to be trifled with.

Wang Teng’s face turned ashen at the sight of Yang Tianchen.

He never imagined Qin Feng was connected to the eldest son of the Yang family.

The Yang family was a colossal force in the capital; not even ten Wang families combined dared to challenge them.

“Mr. Yang…” Wang Teng stammered, forcing a smile more pitiful than tears. “What brings you here?”

Yang Tianchen ignored Wang Teng and strode over to Qin Feng, scrutinizing him before relaxing slightly upon seeing he was unharmed. His voice carried concern.

“Brother, are you alright? Did they do anything to you?”

Qin Feng smiled faintly and patted Yang Tianchen’s shoulder, signaling he was fine. “Don’t worry. Those few weaklings can’t touch me.”

Wang Teng wiped cold sweat from his brow, forcing a grin. “Mr. Yang, you misunderstand. We were just joking with Brother Qin to lighten the mood.”

“Joking? Looks to me like you’re courting death!” Yang Tianchen’s sharp glare swept over Wang Teng and the others, who all lowered their heads in fear.

Mu Teng furrowed his brows, quietly observing Yang Tianchen. Though wary of the Yang family’s power, he was reluctant to give up the prize so easily.

Clearing his throat, he spoke slowly, “Mr. Yang, I respect you as a man. Today’s matter was our fault, and I apologize to you and your brother. But I must remind you—some knowledge is not always beneficial.”

“Are you threatening me?” Yang Tianchen narrowed his eyes, his tone tinged with danger.

“Not at all, I’m merely offering a friendly warning,” Mu Teng said with a forced smile, his voice firm and unquestionable.

“This map is of great importance. I hope you, Mr. Yang, will refrain from interfering, lest you bring trouble upon yourself.”

Yang Tianchen sneered, stepping closer to Mu Teng. Their eyes locked, sparks seeming to ignite between them.

“I, Yang Tianchen, have lived over twenty years and have never known the meaning of the word ‘fear’!” he declared with deliberate emphasis, dripping with disdain and challenge.

“Let me be clear: as long as my brother refuses, no one will take anything from him!”
