Chapter 34: A Lucid Downfall
Ye Xi glared at him furiously. Seeing that she was no longer arguing, Shen Yunche finally let go.
In the southern district of Beijing, just two or three streets away from the site of the sudden fire that had broken out the night before, stood the shop of Xu Tongzhou—the Xu Family Rice Firm.
Recalling what Yiyun had mentioned, Chen Lin nodded and said, "I understand, thank you." He then turned and headed toward the largest karaoke lounge.
Three days later, Ouyang Ruoxue had fully recovered, her internal energy restored to its original state. "Your medicine is truly miraculous," she praised, her face full of admiration. "It’s only been three days, and not only is the illness gone, but my martial arts have also completely returned!"
Datou, not expecting Chen Lin to notice the hidden camera in the room, picked up the phone to connect with Yuan Shu.
Young, ambitious, and buoyed by the expectations of her maternal family and the cultivation of Lady Lu, she believed that once she entered the palace, she would surely be more favored than Beauty Yao and seize her position in the Emperor's heart.
"Young hero, keep your eyes sharp!" Within the illusionary realm, a thunderous dragon roar echoed once more, causing the entire space to tremble. The very sky seemed on the verge of shattering under the intensity of that incredible sound.
Chen Zheng secretly sized up Chen Lin. Chen Lin spoke with such ease, as if he could fulfill any request Chen Zheng might have. His demeanor and confidence had indeed transformed; he was a world apart from the person he had been a year ago.
"My name is Artillery. You don't know me, but I’ve seen you at Yuanxing Security. I was transferred from there!" the man called Artillery said excitedly.
However, the You family's premature provocation disrupted all of Zhou Wutian's plans. Realizing that the Orchid Pavilion could not function without Qin Bo, he abandoned the idea. Instead, he dispatched Zhu Feng to assemble men, return to the town from which he had fled, and secretly cultivate his own forces to seize the position of a feudal lord.
Her hand traced his face naturally. Zi Lian’s mouth bloomed into a smile, her heart so joyful she wanted to sing. As she pulled the blanket up, she caught a glimpse of herself; her skin was covered in marks, causing her to blush. Were these what people called the marks of love?

Today marked the start of a new month, yet Ji Mo had not given her anything—he hadn't even spoken a single word to her.
Wu Mingzhen suddenly strode into the arena. Intending to show off, he used a resonant voice to draw everyone’s attention to himself.
"Look, I’ll ask you just one thing: do you want to take a wife and start a home?" Feng Qianzhan decided to go all out; he was determined to be a competent matchmaker.
"A-Niu, I said something I shouldn't have. Can I take it back now?" Tang Yan rubbed against A-Niu’s chest.
Though the words were directed at Ye Qiong, Xiao Yan’s gaze never shifted from Xiao Xun’er.
Angry roars erupted from the churning sea. Master Sun was startled; he could tell that this was Ji Mo’s voice.
"You’ve lost!" A-Niu held his long blade against her fair neck. At this moment, with a mere flick of his wrist, that beautiful head would roll to the ground.
"Good, that’s the Tiangang I know. I’ll wait for your good news!" Feng Qianzhan nodded with satisfaction and walked away. The task was successfully completed, and it felt wonderful. A sense of accomplishment lingered in his heart; it wasn't just major affairs of state that gave him such satisfaction—these things did, too.
"Gentlemen, there are three Heavenly Spirit experts fighting against invaders from beyond the sky. This is a rare opportunity. If you don't go to support them, how can you still have the heart to intercept me?" he said coldly.
Without stopping, he captured twelve demonic beasts and twenty-three ferocious beasts at the mid-to-late Foundation Establishment stage, tossing them all into the alchemy furnace.
Adam rubbed his forehead in silence. In truth, he and Haotian were cyborgs created in the real world. He was a second-generation model—or, to be precise, a generation-and-a-half model, for there was no second generation. All the data had been destroyed.

Seeing this, An Ran’s eyes and mouth curled into a sneer. She didn't even need to lift a finger; Lin Haohao had brought trouble upon herself.
Looking at her now, her beauty had not diminished much. With the added trace of sorrow in her eyes, she was, if anything, even more endearing.
The peaceful development of the country would provide a stable environment for Tang Yong, which was why he centered the growth of the "Defenders Alliance" domestically rather than overseas.
Chi Gui’s condition was dire. Dr. Wang told Chi Yan’er the truth, but out of past sentiment, he agreed to help her without hesitation and lied to Li Lan.
"Is this for me?" Qin Yueshuang was hesitant to accept it. She had checked the prices online; the necklace alone was worth over two hundred thousand. How could she bring herself to accept such a gift?
"Suit yourselves. Sleep however you like; I’m going to bed." Xu Xing’s words made it clear to Xiao Runxue that he was intentionally avoiding the trap.
When Xu Xing saw the figure of five hundred thousand, he knew this was no simple matter. A reward of that size indicated a task of extreme difficulty.
So what if he offended the Tower Master? He didn't care about staying in the Ninth Alchemy Tower anymore. Having achieved his goal, he was full of confidence.
Once the Android app ecosystem flourished in the future, the next generation of Ami phones could improve in quality and raise prices without causing a significant shock to the consumers' psychological expectations.
