By the following noon, Maya’s "Wild Child" had surged to second place on the hit song chart, and Shen Xingyuan’s "Loving You Needs No Lies" had also successfully reached third place as hoped.

However, it only held the third spot for two hours before slipping back down to fourth. Still, this fulfilled his agreement with General Manager Zhou of Tianxing Entertainment, proving his worth. In the future, he could expect support from top-tier resources.

The number one spot on the hit song chart remained firmly held by Yi Yunxue’s "Encounter." This month, Dream Start Studio had certainly stolen the spotlight, occupying the top two positions on the authoritative Penguin Music hit chart. "Encounter" relied on its own quality and Yi Yunxue’s talent and popularity, while "Wild Child" relied on the powerful viral nature of the internet.

The ranking for "Wild Child" was not stable, and it was expected to drop once the hype faded, but it had at least made it into the top three.

...

At Dream Start Studio.

Exhausted after a long day, Yi Yunxue stretched. The office was stiflingly warm, so she took off her coat, revealing a white top that clung to her slender waist, accentuating a perfect curve. Chen Jiang, sitting not far behind her while looking at his phone, caught a glimpse and couldn’t help but let his appreciative gaze linger for a few extra seconds.

"Alright, Chen Jiang, let’s go eat!" Yi Yunxue turned her head.

Because the studio had matters to attend to today, she hadn't had time to cook, so they had agreed to go out for dinner.

"Sister Li, would you like to join us for dinner?" As they walked out of the office, they ran into Sister Li.

Sister Li glanced at Chen Jiang and smiled. "I’ll pass, I’ve already ordered takeout."

"Alright, Sister Li, then we’ll be heading off," Yi Yunxue said.

Watching the two walk away side-by-side, Sister Li couldn't help but stare. She only withdrew her gaze once they stepped into the elevator, a meaningful expression crossing her face before she returned to her office.

...

Chen Jiang pressed on the gas as the car moved through the streets.

In the sky, a touch of red twilight shone upon the skyscrapers, reflecting off the glass and spilling over the earth. Yi Yunxue gazed out the window, lost in thought. A gentle breeze drifted in, lifting the stray hairs on her cheeks.

"Chen Jiang, where are we going to eat?" she asked suddenly.

"The MixC. We’re having Western food today."

Chen Jiang had already booked a private room online.

Upon arriving at the mall, Yi Yunxue put on a white baseball cap. Just as she was about to get out of the car, she pouted, "Chen Jiang, do you have a mask? I forgot my sunglasses."

Hearing this, Chen Jiang took out a box of masks, pulled one out, and handed it to her. With the mask on, Yi Yunxue felt at ease and stepped out of the car.

The Western restaurant was on the third floor. After finding their table and providing the last four digits of his phone number, they were led by a waiter into a private room.

"See what you'd like to eat," Chen Jiang said, handing her the ordering tablet.

After they finished ordering, the waiter came over to collect the tablet. Suddenly, she saw Yi Yunxue, who had taken off her mask for a breath of air. The waiter’s expression changed, and she covered her mouth in excitement. "Xuexue!"

"Xuexue, I'm your fan!"

Yi Yunxue quickly shushed her. "Keep it down, don’t let anyone else hear."

"Xuexue, are you two..." The waiter gestured toward Chen Jiang, looking at him with a gossipy expression.

"Colleagues," Yi Yunxue explained. "Please don’t give away our whereabouts."

"I know, I won't tell anyone you're eating here," the waiter nodded quickly, then stared at Yi Yunxue with a hesitant look.

"Would you like a photo?" Yi Yunxue asked.

"Yes, please!" the fan nodded excitedly.

Yi Yunxue took a photo with her and asked her not to post it today. Only then did the fan leave the room, beaming with joy.

"Wenwen, what are you so happy about?" another waiter asked curiously.

The waiter called Wenwen chuckled. "Nothing, I just thought of something funny."

As a qualified "Snowflake," she wouldn't dream of exposing her idol's movements!

...

"You really have a lot of fans," Chen Jiang remarked.

"Of course, my 'Snowflake' fan group is huge. That fan just now was definitely a quality fan—very emotionally stable," Yi Yunxue said proudly.

She loved fans like that; rational stanning was what made a good Snowflake. "Snowflake" was the name of her fan group.

Chen Jiang asked curiously, "What are the unstable fans you’ve encountered like?"

"Once, on a crowded street, a fan recognized me and started screaming, yelling 'Xuexue is here' at the top of their lungs. A huge crowd gathered, and I ended up trapped in the middle..." she complained.

"That's nothing, though. Xiaxia’s fans are even more outrageous. Film and television fans are far crazier than us music fans. A stalker once targeted her and followed her for a week, but since he hadn't done anything illegal, there was nothing we could do."

"How did you resolve it in the end?"

"Xiaxia’s dad hired people to beat the stalker up, and then he had people follow the stalker wherever he went until he finally chased him off."

Yi Yunxue shared many entertainment industry gossips with Chen Jiang, and he listened with great interest. Just then, the waiter from before brought in the food, set it on the table, and turned to leave.

"Wait, I don’t think we ordered fries?" Yi Yunxue called out.

"Xuexue, these are on me," the fan said with a smile. "I wish you happiness every day and continued success in your career!"

"Thank you," Yi Yunxue said, clearly moved.

"Xuexue, carry on with your meal, I won't disturb you anymore," the fan said before leaving the room.

"That was indeed a quality fan," Chen Jiang said with a smile.

After dinner, Yi Yunxue put her mask back on, and they left the restaurant.

"Chen Jiang, look! There’s a claw machine!" Yi Yunxue said suddenly.

Chen Jiang looked ahead and saw a row of claw machines.

"Let’s try it!" Yi Yunxue stared at the dolls inside, eager to try.

"Sure, I was the claw machine master of my school back in the day," Chen Jiang said confidently. He wasn't bragging. In high school, because he was so precise at grabbing things, his anime-loving friends often dragged him to the mall to win figurines for them.

"Which one do you want? I'll get it for you!" They reached the machines, which weren't crowded at this hour.

Yi Yunxue pointed to a white cat doll. "I want that one, to keep Little Orange company."

Chen Jiang exchanged for ten tokens. Seeing this, Yi Yunxue asked doubtfully, "Is that enough?"

"Don't worry, I'm the claw machine master," Chen Jiang said confidently.

He inserted two tokens and maneuvered the claw to position the doll near the chute. Then, he flicked the claw to adjust the angle. With a "clack," the doll fell.

"There, got it," he said, retrieving the cat doll from the bottom opening.

Accepting the doll, Yi Yunxue looked at him like a giddy fan. "You're so amazing!"

"Don't use that tone, act natural," Chen Jiang said with a strange expression.

"Hehe," Yi Yunxue covered her mouth and giggled.

"You take the remaining tokens and play with them," Chen Jiang said, handing her the six remaining tokens.

After using them all up, the two finally left the mall.
