Volume 1, Chapter 31: Don't Play Dead
Ye Fusang’s expression shifted slightly as she took the cold reins. That damned Chu Ye had actually summoned her to drive the carriage.
When the carriage still did not move, Chu Ye’s languid, indifferent voice drifted out. “Move. Don’t just sit there like a corpse.”
The market for photonic chips was enormous—one could even call it limitless. Future Concept Technologies could not possibly be satisfied with the domestic market alone; it would inevitably have to seize a share of the international market. In other words, exporting photonic chips was the prevailing trend.
“I guessed as much.” The late emperor had trusted him completely. Anything that could not conveniently be handled in the open would naturally have been entrusted to Zhang Nian.
“It isn’t going to be one of those acts where someone smashes a boulder against their chest, is it?” When Feng Michu heard Jing Yinyi speaking in a tone every bit as sarcastic and cutting as Emperor Jing’s, he turned around. Seeing his future father-in-law glaring murderously at the hand he had placed on Jing Yinyi’s cheek, as though he wished he could chop it off, Feng Michu withdrew it.
The wealth of the Saudi royal family was astonishing. Through his family, he had seen the most representative tableware from countries all over the world: graceful and refined porcelain, magnificent gold and silverware, and crystal vessels clear as ice—all masterpieces crafted by the finest artisans of their respective nations.
The Celestial Immortals from the five great factions immediately withdrew from the battlefield. Once an Immortal King struck, the area affected was far too vast. To die beneath the lingering force of the attack would truly be a pointless death. Who would dare reason with an Immortal King? Besides, the Xuanming Divine Luan had an Immortal Emperor backing it and had never been one to observe reason.
This was also the mindset of the older generation in the capital. Even now, many elderly people there adhered strictly to the rules; even knocking on a door had to be done according to proper etiquette.
Wei Tianheng and the others were also pondering what Ye Chen could possibly do to provide them with the assistance they wanted.
An aerospace fighter was not very large to begin with. If a modular design were adopted as well, its interior space would be compressed considerably, making it uneconomical.
“You came to Fengzhou this time to undergo training. Time is tight, so let’s begin at once.” Ye Chen also wanted to finish this matter as soon as possible. He still had plenty of work to do and needed to make the most of his time.
Qin Ying forced herself to calm down and began observing Qin Shuang carefully. Gradually, a strange expression appeared on her face.
Just then, the black figure retracted the dagger in his hand, and the manifested form in midair vanished at once. Clearly, the cultivator from the Assassins’ Tower was about to conceal himself again. But since Long Xing had set a trap to lure him out, how could he possibly allow the man to disappear so easily?
“Senior Sister Qingying, you are too courteous! We are fellow disciples; of course I would lend you a hand. However, you invited the two of us here for more than a simple word of thanks, didn’t you?” Long Xing could not be bothered to trade veiled insinuations with her and asked directly.
An Immortal Estate was different. First, it required an enormous spiritual ley line. Then it needed a space capable of containing such a ley line. If there were any additional requirements, the cost might be even more astonishing.
Moreover, Li Boqiang could feel that the moment he swallowed the pill, his stomach grew hot. A warm sensation spread outward from there, permeating his entire body and making him feel indescribably comfortable.
“What is going on?” Xia Zhiwu was filled with questions. He had not dared to ask too much while Liu Caijie was present, but now he could no longer restrain himself.
“I’m warning you—Senior Sister Qiu is right here! If you aren’t afraid of her going back and telling Senior Sister Qingying something, then by all means, keep going!” Long Xing spoke with an expression that said he did not care either way.
It was as though his body instinctively craved that warmth. Unconsciously, he extended his palm and reached toward the warm, silky substance.
After conducting a round of research, the three of them chose to give up. They decided it would be better to wait and see what this person did.
Below, the bodies of the centaurs lay scattered across an area nearly a mile wide. The wails and shrieks of the wounded made one’s heart tremble.
Mo Song guided those specks of stellar energy into his dantian. Like breathing-based cultivation, this was one of the simplest methods.
