In the afternoon, Bai Bing appeared in Wang Zheng’s office, vibrant and spirited. She wore a new black suit and a pair of new black high heels. Most enticing were the black stockings beneath her skirt, perfectly accentuating her long legs. In two words: seductive.

Bai Bing walked casually to Wang Zheng’s desk, the fatigue from the early morning completely gone.

“Slap.” Bai Bing tossed several sheets of paper onto the desk, then sat opposite Wang Zheng, her face bright with a gentle smile. She seemed in a good mood.

Wang Zheng glanced at Bai Bing, noting her sudden shift in style—both sexy and professional. What was she up to? He quickly shifted his gaze to the documents still on the desk: materials on Liao Tong, the first page with her one-inch photo.

Setting the documents aside for now, Wang Zheng’s attention returned to the transformed Bai Bing.

“What’s this act? Role-playing? Or did something happen to upset you?” he asked, unsure what was going on but not displeased by the change. To some degree, it stimulated his senses and caught his eye.

If possible, Wang Zheng wished she’d wear those black lace bodysuits from art films instead of just a suit—something even more thrilling, with a stronger visual impact.

“You like it?” Hearing Wang Zheng’s words, Bai Bing smiled, stood, took a few steps in front of him, spun around a few times, and asked, “How is it? Not bad, right?”

Not bad indeed, but Wang Zheng was suspicious of her motives. Why wear such a seductive outfit? Suddenly, a thought struck him, and it made perfect sense why Bai Bing was trying to charm him.

“You didn’t crash my car, did you?” Wang Zheng frowned. He believed a woman like Bai Bing wouldn’t seduce without reason. Morning in white, noon in black—what about evening? No outfit?

“Crash the car? No way! Haven’t you seen my driving skills? Crashing isn’t in my repertoire!” Bai Bing laughed.

“Then what’s up?”

“Nothing much. I just thought black clothes go better with a white car! Don’t you agree?” She then narcissistically twirled before Wang Zheng and struck a pose.

This woman’s vanity was justified—she had the assets to back it up. Otherwise, how could even Wang Zheng feel the impulse? If he didn’t know her inside out, he might have already succumbed!

Although Wang Zheng admired Bai Bing’s attire and taste, he wouldn’t tell her outright—she’d only become more conceited. So, wearing a slight frown and a smirk of disdain, he said, “I think you look more like a crow.”

Insulting Bai Bing was Wang Zheng’s daily routine.

At his words, Bai Bing’s smile faded immediately, giving him a fierce glare. Then, as if recalling something, she walked over to the desk, perched her feet lightly, and sat atop the desk. Crossing her legs, she revealed those long, shapely legs clad in black stockings, boldly displayed before Wang Zheng. At least 80% was visible; had she turned fully sideways, even her undergarments might have been exposed.

She blinked her beautiful eyes—long lashes fluttering like delicate fans in the breeze. Bai Bing smiled seductively at Wang Zheng, then looked at him with equal parts pride and delight, saying, “Stop saying things you don’t mean. I’m confident in my looks and taste. When I got out of the car, countless men were staring—that proves my charm. So, just be honest!”

Is this woman too narcissistic? Wang Zheng thought. He couldn’t stand her showing off before him, so he smiled slightly and said, “Heh. I don’t see what you have to be proud of. They may stare on the surface, but they’re fantasizing about you in their hearts. Just thinking about it makes me sick.” He made a disgusted face and said, “Get away from me before you’re ogled even more.”

“Smack!” A magazine hit Wang Zheng.

“Smack! Smack! Smack!” Thick economics books followed one after another, aimed almost entirely at Wang Zheng.

Luckily, Wang Zheng reacted quickly, shielding his face with his hands to avoid injury. When the barrage ended, he peeked through his fingers at Bai Bing, whose face had darkened like her clothes.

Wang Zheng said nothing, picking up the books and tidying them on the desk before turning his attention back to Liao Tong’s file. No woman liked hearing her flaws spoken aloud, especially when her proudest asset was the topic—it was infuriating. Wang Zheng knew at this moment women were like mother leopards—don’t provoke them, or the consequences would be severe.

Bai Bing jumped down angrily from the desk. She had struck such alluring poses just moments ago, yet it was all for naught. Was she really that unattractive to him? Was he gay? Sitting in her chair, Bai Bing looked at Wang Zheng examining Liao Tong’s file. He could be interested in Lin Xiaolei, Liao Tong, even Lin Xuan—so why not her?

Bai Bing was not one to admit defeat, especially about her own looks. She believed she was no worse than anyone else, yet today, Wang Zheng had dealt her a harsh blow.

“You little brat, I refuse to believe you’re indifferent to me!”

“Snap!” After a moment, Wang Zheng snapped his fingers at Bai Bing and asked, “Is that all? Seems incomplete.”

“Incomplete?” Bai Bing frowned, irritated. “Do you doubt my investigative skills?”

“No doubt at all. Good… very good.” Though his words sounded positive, Wang Zheng’s expression and tone belied true meaning.

Bai Bing was furious—she’d worked so hard gathering those materials, yet not only was there no reward, not even a thank you, but he also doubted her efforts.

“Hmph!” Bai Bing snorted coldly, ignoring Wang Zheng as she turned and walked away. “Don’t ever ask me to help with investigations again. I won’t do it for you anymore. Whoever regrets it first is the little dog.”

Hmm? Angry? Seeing Bai Bing leave, Wang Zheng couldn’t help but smile. So young and already so hot-tempered? It was just a joke—no need to take it so seriously.

Spending the afternoon watching adult films, the end of workday came, but Bai Bing still hadn’t appeared in the office. Wang Zheng looked downstairs; the Maserati was gone. Seems like she’d taken her anger out on a joyride again.

When Wang Zheng reached the lobby, a sharp noise caught his attention. A white figure flashed past and stopped before him. Wang Zheng peeked inside—this woman had potential as a driver.

“The TV station!” Wang Zheng said, sitting inside the car.

“Going there again? Aren’t you eating dinner?” Bai Bing asked loudly. Though today was still the day Su Xue and Bai Bing co-hosted the show, there was no need to arrive so early.

“Yesterday I discovered a secret—the TV station offers free meals. You don’t have to go, but I need this car…”

“Vroom!” Before Wang Zheng finished, the car roared to life. The luxurious four-door sedan had transformed into an F1 racer in Bai Bing’s hands.

The car stopped inside the TV center’s courtyard. As Wang Zheng was about to get out, Bai Bing suddenly reached out and tightly gripped his wrist.

“What’s this?” Wang Zheng asked, puzzled. “Don’t try to get close—I’m not falling for it.”

“Who says I’m cozying up to you?” Bai Bing snapped back. “You’re slippery as an eel. To prevent you from escaping like last night, I have to hold you tight. I was going to handcuff you, but forgot when changing clothes, so just consider yourself lucky!”

“Crazy woman,” Wang Zheng muttered.

He hadn’t come just to pick up Su Xue and Chu Jun. Simply being someone’s driver was beneath him. Besides Lin Xuan, whom he’d already met yesterday, there was another target—Liao Tong. She carried a different aura, one that was tempting, criminally tempting, capable of making anyone fall at her feet.

Wang Zheng had a feeling that sooner or later, Liao Tong would lie in his bed—and she would come willingly...!
